Encouragement for all the other Newbies!
Ok girls I just wanted to give all of you "wanna be" dancers that are standing on the edge a nice little shove of encouragement. You'll be fine! Honestly. I was hired the night I tried out and even got to stay and work the rest of the night. I had never stripped before but the only ones who could probably tell were the really experiance dancers.
Helpful tips: (from a newie)
#1 GO WATCH! It's totally different from "club dancing" which from what I've been told, a lot of the new girls try to do. Watch and learn from the pros. Pick up some moves.
#2 PRACTICE. Walking in your heels #1 (which by the way are quite comfly and easier to walk in then my stilettos) Get a few basic moves down pat and practice getting out of your clothes. I'm ao glad I did this.
#3 BE NICE I didn't think all the girls would be so nice to me but every one of them are sweet encouraging and helpful so don't walk in with an additude.
#4 Be CONFIDENT Even if you have no idea what your doing up on stage, act like you are the hottest thing around and no one will even notice if you mess up, etc. (which I know I did a few things that probably looked quite stupid! ;D
#5 JUST GO FOR IT! You only live once and if you want it...go get it.
Good luck!!!
Re: Encouragement for all the other Newbies!
congrats danni! what a relief...there have been a few threads lately with not-so-encouraging news from first-timers. i'm so glad things went well for you and that you decided to share it with us.
welcome to the board and keep posting :)

Reason #5 is the best one!!!
But, the other four are encouraging, too.
