taking customers off the tip rail
is it universally not cool to take customers off the tip rail for a dance? someone did it to me while i was onstage, which i thought was crappy, and all the other girls at the club told me it was definitely not ok, then the next night i lost 3 dances to someone because these guys were sitting at the tip rail and out of courtesy i waited to give them dances until the girl on stage was done, but this other girl pulled them off, and then no one seemed to have a problem with it.
help!! what is the protocol at your clubs?
Re: taking customers off the tip rail
Where I'm at, if you take a customer off stage you leave a few bucks on the tip rail for the girl dancing. However, it's not cool to hustle dances on another girls stage.
Re: taking customers off the tip rail
it is dancer etiquette at my club to leave a tip at the dancer's stage before taking the customer away for a dance. just because a customer sits by the stage, doesn't mean he won't want any dances.
Re: taking customers off the tip rail
At the club where I currently work, most of the seating is stageside, so it's acceptable to take a customer off of the rail. It's nice to leave a dollar for the dancer on stage, though you won't get yelled at if you don't. Most guys have already tipped her anyway.
But in some clubs it's verboten. Management will usually let you know, or you can ask.
