Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I ordered my halloween costume from www.doxylingerie.com. Both my friend and I have been unable to get in contact with them since we placed our orders. They charged my credit card and I have not received anything. It has been over a month since I have placed the order and I have received nothing. I have sent them countless emails and they have not responded. I am going to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. But mainly I just wanted to warn everyone not to order from them because they will rip you off. Good luck with your internet shopping!

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Disputing this with your credit card company would probably be the best thing to do. Also, since it's a "yahoo shopping" store, you may be able to contact yahoo and let them know too.
I hope this works out for ya

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I had exactly the same thing happen last year which ruined my whole Halloween.Nothing came, and when I called their number someone even answered one time and said that they are working on my order right now. Then I called a few times a day for 2 weeks and no one answered. My credit card got the money back, but because of all this I had to cancell a trip. The store was in New York (I was ordering from AZ),and I cannot remember their website, but it was one that appeared on the right side in the sponsors area when doing a web search.I've noticed that it's not there anymore.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Just dispute it, it takes forever, but you will get the money back eventually since you never received the order. I wish I knew all that in college when I spent 150 on sex toys that never arrived (ah what we learn as we get older!)

Thanks for your suggestions!

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
That happened to me as well, but actually what happened was that for months I kept emailing then over and over again. FINALLY they emailed me back saying "what are you talking about?" so I told them the situation and they said that they get so many emails a day that the emails they get that dont have a subject line, get sent to the junk pile. Well, to make a long story short they eventually got me my stuff. Do you think that could be the same situation? Try emailing them with a subject line. Sorry if this doesnt help. Good luck hun!

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
some info for your defense........
It is illegal for a company to charge your credit card or bill you in anyway until the item you've ordered has been shipped in the mail.I had this happen to me twice. The first one luckily was located in the same town so I drove down and shoved the e-mail confirmation in their face along with the above statement that it was illegal. They freaked and gave me my money back right away. They must have thought they were safe from confrontation because I ordered on line.
The second one was in another state and when I did get a hold of them they were more then helpful again after I stated the legal limits they had violated. I think they just made a mistake unlike the first one.
Also it would be helpful to all if you report them to the Better Business Bureaus

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I always try to do some research on a company before I order from them online. I wanted to order from a company called Digital Threadz and did my usual search. Came up with some interesting complaints from unsatisfied customers, so I emailed them my concerns about shipping times etc. before I ordered. Never received an email back so I used another, more reputable company.
I've had some wonderful transactions with Pinup Girl Clothing, Lollipop Lingerie and Musotica. All shipped in good time, merchandise was of good quality, sizing was true, and, if there were problems and/or delays, they were good about answering my email requests.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
OMG thats crazy the same thing happend to me there too. I paid for the 2day express and after 4 weeks i called my credit card company, than a couple days later i got the merchandise. I dont know if it wouldnt come without that or if it just scared them. But i know NEVER to go there again. They have lots of cute things too. What a waste. Ohh and the phone number is fake its just some girl. SO thats what made me suspicious to call my credit card company. Ohh also when i was internet shopping i saw a website that was set up just like this one, looked the same but a different name and i didnt order from it. Anyone one know of a site that looks like it? Well good luck hun and let us know what happend cuz that really pisses me off. I almost started the same thread.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
ooooh that sucks I hope you do get your costume in time or are able to find a replacement. I ordered mine from pinupgirl this year and while yes it was one of the higher priced sites that was carrying the costume, I forked over the extra cash because I felt confident I'd receive it in time.
oh and ksalerio, I think that typically when you pay extra for expedited shipping, you are paying for just that: expedited shipping NOT expedited processing of the order! For example, it may take a week or more to "process" the order and actually ship it. At least that's how it was worded on pinupgirlclothing.com.

Exactly! It can take them up to two weeks to receive the merchandise in house and then you pay for expedited shipping AFTER they receive it. So your order can still take up to two and a half weeks.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
^^^That's what I found out when I did a search on them. A complaint page turned up with quite a few names on it. Scared me. Sorry you got ripped off.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
if i knew how to file a class action lawsuit on them i would so do it.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Send complaints to their state's Attorney General. That will take care of it. If everyone here does it, they'll be out of business.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I also ordered clothes from digitalthreadz, which also goes by the name MandiGirl, and I never received my order. I went on the better business bureau website and found out that this company is in bad standing with them because there are so many complaints. I tried emailing and calling digitalthreadz, but got no email response back, and the phone number they list is no longer in service. Don't order from this company girls!!!!!!

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Just want to add. Me and a co-worker both had problems with flirtcatalog.com
I always liked their stuff but she ordered a sexy top for an event and not only did they send her the wrong top the 3 day select shipping she paid for came in 7 days instead.
I ordered an outfit from them that turned out to be backordered. Almost 7 WEEKS later they give me a call saying that they cant give me my outfit. They shouldve just taken it offline and not promised the backordered orders their order when it came in.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Threaten to contact the better business bureau.. I have had to do this with a few places that said I owed them extra oney even though i had proof that I had paid everything in full. I wrote them a warning and they sent me a letter saying I owed nothing.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I went on the better business bureau website and looked at all the complaints about digitalthreads/mandigirl and a lot of the complaints weren't resolved because the company won't respond to any emails and all the phone numbers they list are out of service. They also have like, at least 5 different addresses they go by, some of them being P.O. Boxes. so I think i'm just out of luck with this one.... girls please learn from this, as I have done the hard way, and check out the better business bureau website BEFORE you order from an online store. If I had read all the complaints first, I never would have ordered from the site.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
^^ What if you cant find them on BBb.com?
-
Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Give BBb.com thier information so the next person that looks them up will no they had promblems before with thier customer! I know the place that you are have promblems with is an internet site. By any chance dose this business have a main store in the area that it was founded. Or do they have a business license in a certain area. You don't need a business license to operate an online business in certain states. But in certain areas you do need need a license. They say it is depending on what you are selling! you will be amaze by the laws some states have, a lot people just do not exerise thier rights!

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
If you can't find a company on the BBB website then the company probably isn't registered. I would be cautious about ordering from the company, but maybe post the name of the company on here and see if anyone else has ever ordered from there. I've ordered from a lot of different websites and never had a problem, except for digitalthreadz/mandigirl

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
wow i almost ordered from them a few weeks ago. Glad I bought some other crap instead.
I've had an issue with pinup girl clothing actually. Ordered 3 weeks in advanced, ( before valentines day. ) nice bad ass red dress for a trip to san fran.
They charged the card, then it never showed up. Even with express shipping. First they said that they shipped it but didnt have the tracking number. THen it was , " it's on backorder". Then nothing.
Finally I told them firmly to settle up with me ( ie do something about the charge. ) and they did. However, they never explained anything about the dress... what really happened and why I was charged for over night shipping as well..yet never recieved even a fuck off.
Totally sucks because I love their streetwear.
I've had better luck with as far as clothes similar go.
there use to be ( like 5 years ago. ) a great store that I swear you'd get your things overnight and always cheap. It was ljlingerie. I can't find it now. But that store rocked. It was a yahoo site.
is my big indulgence. I LOVE that store.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
Hey
HAven't had any bad online shopping experiences yet(hopefully I won't), but a place that I've gotten really good service from is They have some fun swimwear and the short dresses in the evening wear section are fun. Sorry to hear about some of the ripoffs. It sucks when you can't get your hard earned money back.

Re: Ripoff Stripper Clothes Websites
I am having a problem with pin up girl clothing now. They will not answer the phone when I call for order status and I tried to fool them and pressed 2 for product info. They answered and then told me to hang on and hung up on me. Tried calling back and they wouldn't answer for either. It's been 3 weeks since I ordered and have only received half the shipment. Arrrrggg!!!!
