Yeah! I'd like some tips on floor work - sometimes i don't feel like I look sexy while doing floor work and wonder if it shows
Okies, have either one of you got a SO?
If so then get on the bed nakkie, and practice while he/she's looking. Make them give you advice.
That's the best thing I could tell ya, w/o actually watching you dance.
Everytime I was to try something new on stage, I make my hubby watch me do it over and over again.
He will tell me what's cool and what sucks.
Either a SO or someone you trust anyway.
Where I work we have to be very on the ball with our dancing since it is one girl on stage at a time so this is what I do when I'm not on the pole, I start facing the customer and kind of do like a slow sexy belly dance and work my way down on the floor with my feet face him (or her) and hold myself up with my hands and kind of do a wave from my back to my ass then I lay down on the floor on my back and if you can do this right it looks good (if you can't then I wouldn't recomend doing it) some girls try and it doesn't look very good, you wiggle your calves slightly so it send a roll down your thigh and ass you can also do this standing up if you have good balance or drop your fingertip to the ground and bend completly over and do it or else I do a split and catch myself with one hand and shake my ass up and down......it's kind of hard to explain when you can't see it, another good way is check out the carmen electra stripping video it helps alot, another thing...don't ever dance like your in a nightclub that is my pet peeve when new girls come in who have never danced before and dance like getting down, just dance like your the sexiest bitch in the room and you'll do just fine

It has a lot of good videos and the floor work one will greatly help you out! The biggest rule for you to remember is to just go slow. The slower you do things the better. Make sure you do a lot of stretching to help your flexibility so that you can do some of the moves with your feet in the air and all. Good luck hope this helps ya!
I agree we Ferra, SLOW is not a four letter word in the club. When I first got on stage, I giggled quickly and was so nervous. I still catch myself clutching the pole for dear life. I relate it to learning how to swim, the more confident you become, the better you will look and the more fluid the movements. My best resource for pole dancing help is getting to the club early and practicing. A lot of the girls even took a little time to give me pointers and an early regular walked over and tipped me for practicing! I would ask one of the girls who is good on pole if she had time to help you before work for a fee, maybe that would help. As far as floor work, we are not allowed to do it. Good luck!
