waitresses
I got hired to cocktail at Scores and still be able to dance.
I was in cocktail uniform training last night and I was shocked at how rude the dancers were to me..
and I'm not an unfriendly person who doesnt get along with people.
Is it like this at most clubs?

Re: waitresses
Yep, you should read Lynn Snowden's book about trying Vegas waitressing- she tried 9 entry-level jobs in one year, and she HATED Vegas waitressing the most. (This was in the early 90s- "Nine Lives- From Schoolteacher to Stripper" is the name of the book.)
In addition to Las Vegas being a mean town, the strippers know the custies are fervently hoping for free p*ssy and will try hard to get your attention (heavy tip) so you'll go back to their hotel room. As Lynn said, they're hoping you're a slut who just happens to serve drinks.
I love waitresses and fear the day I have to do it for a living. I'll get brained with a bottle of ketchup for screwing up orders. That is why I'm a happy stripper.

Re: waitresses
In most cases, the waitress has the advantage over the entertainer when it comes to the custies.
Liz said it best,its comp.

Re: waitresses
I wouldn't do both if I were you.
You not going to be able to play both sides and not get one group mad at you.
Especially if you dance and waitress in the same club.

Re: waitresses
^ Agreed. Waitress and work your ass off...or dance and work your ass off...but not both. Find the dancers who are the nicest to you and point them to the big spenders. I know quite a few SC waitresses who BANK...sometimes more than the average dancers. In fact, the only position at VIP's Chicago which is impossible to get is waitressing. They've had the same waitresses there for years.
So, make your choice.

Re: waitresses
Waitresses have to deal with a lot of the same bullshit that strippers do, usually for much less money. Guys asking to see them outside of work, asking them why they're not dancers, etc. Most waitresses I've dealt with have been nothing but nice, but others have been condescending or have had an attitude like, "I am busting my ass, running around getting drinks and food for boisterous drunkards, while the strippers are just sitting there drinking."
When a guy orders a drink, I usually let him take care of the tip. If he doesn't tip, I usually don't tip myself because it might offend the guy. Sorry, customers come first in that situation, even customers who gladly spend 20 dollars on a lapdance but won't give the waitress 2 dollars. In the rare occasion that I will get a drink myself, I tip. I even tip when I ask the bartendress for a water if she's really busy. And I always tip when they bring out food.
I know I just went off on a tangent here...sorry! But I do think the dynamic between strippers and waitresses is pretty interesting.
