Skinned knee!
While i was at the club on Sat. night i fell hehe! Yea fell! And rug burned my knee. I have an audition tomorrow and I'm not sure what to do. Do you think they'll let me work with it? Should i try to cover it up? If so, how?
What should i do about the pain during crawling?

Re: Skinned knee!
Because my old club recently got a "new" stage with freakin' creases and shit in it (think MJ's Billy Jean video) in it, I have skinned my knees 5 times in the last few months. Anyways, I always apply pure tea-tree oil after cleansing/showering, and then cocoa/shea butter to accelerate the healing. As for covering the actual ouchie, I use a little Dermablend (I bought it JC Penney), they sell it pretty cheap. I do probably have darker skin than you, which may make it easier to conceal for me. Dunno, but I hope you heal fast. As far as the crawling pain goes, suck it up!!! It's an audition, do what you have to do (in that regard) to get your gig, then take it easy on those knees, so you don't look like the VIP Queen, LOL;)

Re: Skinned knee!
Jayda makes a good point about cocoa/shea butter to accelerate healing...though I think anything that keeps it moist will help, even vaseline.
Remove all butters/creams/jellies a few hours before to give it time to 'dry', then pat on concealer. Finish it with powder. I think that would cover it enough for club lighting-

Re: Skinned knee!
This just happened to me. I wouldn't worry about the club not hiring you because of it, not a big deal. If you're really self concious about it, just tell the manager who's auditioning you as a joke, "I've been really excited about auditioning here, so of course, I had a little accident yesterday. That's really pretty, huh? Don't worry, it'll go away in a couple days."

Re: Skinned knee!
Thanks so much! I love the part about not looking like the VIP Queen! LOL I cracked up at that. I'll suck it up and hopefully get hired, can't see why they wouldn't hire me! It seems like girls come and go from this particular club often...hopefully that doesn't mean it sucks there! But i need the experience so i'll do it no matter what and then if i hate it move to a different place right!

Tall socks or tall boots.
