Winning through Intimidation is a great sales book. It's not as evil as it sounds, lol.
The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. It is evil, but in a good way....at least for me....lol
The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy is pretty good. I recommend getting the audio CD. I must warn that about 40% of the content will not apply to selling dances.
How to Close Every Sale by Joe Girad has an excellent chapter about assuming sales, which I think is the most effective close for dancers. There's lots of other stuff in there too with, again, about 40% not applying to selling dances. C'est la vie.
I thoroughly enjoy the Dancerwealth newsletter, with 100% dedicated to selling dances.
The Little Red Book. You'll find it at Barnes & Noble.
If there was only one book to get on making money, you need to get Think And Grow Rich by Napolean Hill. It's the bible for making money. Another great one is The Psychology Of Selling by Brian Tracey.
SalesDogs by Blair Singer part of the Rich Dad Advisor series is great for some techniques that you can use --- www.salesdogs.com
I definately second the recommendation of Think and Grow Rich ;D

Actually, this is one to avoid like the plague. Among high-end sales trainers, this one has become the joke of the book world. Pretty much every philosophy taught in this one has been proven to be extremely bad advice. I think I gave my copy away to someone after Chapter 2 where he was talking about how it's more important to be liked rather than trusted in sales. That pretty much violates every single time-tested and proven philosophy of sales in the last 1000 years. I think my comment when I gave the book away to someone was, "this might be useful to you the next time you are at a restaraunt and need something to prop under a table that is wiggling...it's about the right size for it." :)Quote:

Never read any sales books (as anyone can tell by my income), but I've heard that Zig Ziglar writes a mean book.
I ordered both books: The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene, and Think and Grow rich off of ebay. I love to learn hustle tips, and learning how to bring in more money, who doesnt!!! :D
As far as actual sales books, Zig Zigler is the man. I don't know if/how they would apply to selling LD's and such. I was loaned a couple while working in retail sales, and they did help quite a bit.
