Wieght loss quick start ideas
Ugh after eating 3 bags of cookies in the last 3 weeks and various nasty fast foods I feel like my body is ridden with bad for you food cravings.
How can I get rid of this feeling? I want sugar, fat, and anything thats not good for me. I want to try and look somewhat decent before I go and see my dietician next week. Not to mention for me too.
How can I cleanse to get rid of this and start feeling and looking better? I was going to try yes laxatives and water pills but for a like a day or too just afraid of getting addicted or constipated. Theres got to be a more natural way of doing this. Help

I felt just like that three days ago. I had done the atkins diet a year ago and lost twenty three pounds in three months and then went back to my same old habits and only gained back like ten pounds. so ultimatly i lost thirteen pound. i had also done a little exercise a the time. so here i am a year later and i was starting to feel a few pounds creep back on. i am 5 9" and was 163 when i started and went down to 140 now back up to 150 a year after. anyway i was totally pigging out and weighed myself and it said 155 so i figured i had to do something b 4 it got out of control and i am also an aspiring stripper! so i thought id try the atkins again but after a month and a half of following this diet all i lost was like two pounds i dont think i followed it as stricly as i did the first time especially since the first two weeks are very strict and there are somany new foods marketed low carb that apparently you cant eat in the first two weeks. so after the month and a half my period had come and my stomach started bloating and it felt like i was gaining then my period left and no loss. so i got those water pills and that helped very minimal so i decided to try a new diet. so i bought the south beach diet book. and a week later i had lost 6 pounds and feel good again. this diet is not a fad i just tells you what to eat and its healthy food so its good for you if you want to feel amazing do this diet youll feel a thousand times better!

I just bought a Detox Tea called Flor*Essence by Flora Premium Herbal Formulas....(from Vitamin World.) It claims to be a "gentle" detox.
I suggest starting birth control..I lost a couple pounds of pudge in 2 weeks with simple low-level Pills.

just wean yourself off, and when you get sugar cravings take a tsp of grade b mape syrup thats organic.
i just recently changed my diet around and im feeling much better and ive ost 8 lbs in a week!
the onyl changes i have made is no fast food or fatty food.
ive only been eating brown rice wheat bread, shrimp, chicken and fruits and veggies. ill have a protien shake 2 times a day, whick tastes pretty good so its like a dessert.
also after i eat each time i do 40 sit ups.
kind of random but its working!

please please please please please please please dont use laxatives or diuretics... i got addicted to laxatives, and let me tell you, not fun... you also might end up on the floor in more pain than you can imagine, ugh, bad memories...
anyways, you could look up "master cleanse" on google, or on here, if you can stomach it (which i couldnt)

When you crave something sweet, put some salt on your tongue, it really works! It sort of diverts your taste buds and brain cells from wanting sugar. Ok im not good in this chemistry thing but I read it, tried it, and it helps. Being Polish my mom cooks all these fatty but yummy foods and I have been binge eating for a week now. I feel bloated and horrible, but I dont keep a scale in m house anymore because I was a food and weight freek and lost a lot of weight starving myself then binging. I read that drinking a mix of olive oil and lemon juice helps to get rid of the waste in your body, if you only drink that for 2 days. Sounds disgusting, and I cant get myself to gulp it down but I heard from friends that it works

ugh. i cant stick to a fuken diet for more than three days, and sometimes it ceases to still digust me. but u guys are really are motivating to get back in that health mode again. i got the exsersizing/ cardio plus weight down 5or more times a week. its just that my diet just sucks ass. too much processed shit and i just seem to be in love with it. i guess theres like a hungry big sumo waiting to come out of my body or something

When I've come off junk food weeks and tried to eat healthy again, I have actually started to feel sick eating healthy. Like I tried the juice diet for a week but only made it a few days. I was making the fruit juice slushies and at first I thought they were so tastey...... Then after a few days just the thought of the smell and after taste of one these made me sick to my stomach. Even though when I was drinking them I thought they were good. It was so weird that I was actually being turned off by the thought of fresh juice????????? :-\ Maybe I had way to many bad toxins in my body and it was really cleaning me out??? don't know
Anyone else with that problem?

^ I think that was your body "rebelling" against the decrease of fatty foods....a female body is a fat storing factory because they are the last line in the survival of the species ("has all the eggs" + able to make babies)....
Even when I'm dieting I still eat fats because they're essential to the body- cell membranes, the brain is a fatty tissue organ, etc. Many people get overweight not from fat intake but sedentary (sit-down) jobs or stress (survival tactic.)
Everyone should try Tonalin CLA, it's much healthier than most diet aids, which are really SPEED, which is bad for your heart.....and laxatives are EVIL. I tried "Magic Chinese Herbal Diet Tea" only to end up cramping and in pain.....not worth it!!!

Thanks for all the awesome ideas. I think I have some kinda plan to at least get the cravings out of me. I meeting with an old nutrition teacher next week to chat about my habits and hopefully some more helpful planning.
I looked up some juice diets online that seem easy to make and easy to follow. Plus going to find Emilys old juice fast. Thanks you guys!

Well, sure. If you eat too much of anything you get sick of it, no matter how healthy it is. A healthy diet is one with a lot of variety. This is why most diets are a bad idea; they don't give us the variety they need.
Fat is good. Protein is good. Carbs are good. Sugar is good. ALL foods are good, in MODERATION. Just don't gorge on any one thing and you're fine.

I went on a "liquid" diet once. It was a competition between me and some guys to see who could go the longest without solid food. I know, totally weird. But it was kinda cool because instead of just juice, we could have soups and things that give you a lot more protein and even fat, which you need some of. We all lasted a month and we all lost weight. I am not into diets personally, because I think any healthy eating program needs to be a lifestyle and not thought of in a temporary way - like dieting is. But I do understand your feelings of needing to sort of be cleaned out, and start over. And usually cravings for junk food get perpetuated by allowing them to be a part of your regular eating routine. So I would recommend some sort of detoxifying program, just to get over some bad habits.

I used to be 210lbs and lost weight eating nothing but tuna right out of the can(no adding ANYTHING to the tuna), drinking water, and Ocean Spray Ruby Red Grapefruit juice. Sometimes I would eat a hard boiled egg with my tuna. All I know is that I lost over 50lbs doing so. It took me a few months to notice the results, but other noticed it way before I did. Also while doing this...make sure to stay active...like walk or run everyday, but you don't have to go to the gym if you don't want to or feel you have the time to. This method is sorta like a military diet and is very effective.

I have the same problem with craving sweet treats. My solution is fresh cut strawberries with one packet of Sweet "n" Low sprinkled on them. Way better that using sugar. Totally zaps a sugar craving! Someone had already mentioned the stuff about eating in moderation and how dieting needs to be a lifestlye change. Excellant advice! I have studied for my personal trainers lisence, but found that Paramedics is more my field. Anyway, allow yourself one or two days a week where you can cut loose and enjoy one of your most favorite treats like pizza, pasta, cheesecake.....if your looking to lose weight, limit it to one day, and get plenty of cardio into your workouts. Cardio allows your body to shed that layer of bodyfat to reveal a more toned look. Working with weights will build muscle and help your body to burn more fat throughout the day. Your success in weight loss is 80% of you eating habits(diet) and 20% physical activity. And always remeber, the faster you lose weight, the faster your body will put on weight when you stop the fad diet. This is why so many people yo-yo diet. Not healthy. Your body is more prone to keeping the weight off when it loses unwanted pounds slower, usually 2-5 lbs per week is normal. Hope this helps!
