Are amateur contests for girls who have NEVER danced before, or girls who have never danced at that club before?? I've been dancing 2 years and want to go to a contest, but didnt know if I should.

I think it depends on the club. I am not usre though. Why do you want to do amature night??
I've seen a few of these 'amateur' contests, even at regular bars/niteclubs. These girls are in NO WAY amateur (well, maybe one of them might have possibly been amateur).
It seems that these are primarily advertising events to get traffic and customers into the club, and maybe a new employee on occassion. I don't think these are platforms designed to choose a bonafide 'winner'. It occurred to me that there was a strong probability that several contestants were recruited to attend the contest.
I wouldn't even be surprised to find that there might be some pre-determined outcomes.

You can do it even if you aren't an amateur. If you are at a club now just make sure that they have no problem with you doing some other club in towns amateur night.
I do amatuer nights, thats how you get hired at some clubs... I do them because the prize money (500 for the one I go to). The girls are never amatuer... maybe one lol. I was the most amatuer one when I went, the others had been dancing for oh I don't know... anywhere between 2-6 years! I had only danced about 7-9 times ever lol. I did win though.. woot! Go me :) I say go for it!
