Stage Tips Question
So lets say you have five customers sitting at the rail. You approach the fist customer and he tips you, and it's obvious he is going to tip you more from the stack of singles in his hand. Do you stay with him and milk him for all he's worth before moving on to the other four or do you get a dollar or two from each of them and then repeat? I ask this because recently I had this customer who was just throwing ones at me, a total of $20 by the time my set was over. There was one other customer who had come down to see me but by the time I got done doing my stage tip routine for the enthusiastic tipper ( about 4 or 5 moves) the other guy had gotten up and walked away. I felt bad because the stage tipper had already stated he wasn't interested in lap dances, only the show, and I missed the oppertunity to talk to this other guy who was interested in me and could possibly have been interested in lap dances or VIP. Suggestions?

Re: Stage Tips Question
The way that I do it is I start at one side of the stage and go to the other. The people who want to continue tipping stay for my next round and the ones who just wanted to tip a $ leave. I had a customer tell me once that ignoring a customer with a $ is just like ignoring the opportunity to make 100 more. Stage is where you promote yourself and if you stay with just one person, the crowd sees that. Even if there is only the one guy at the stage with a stack of ones, i still dance for him, then get back to the rest of the stage to invite others to still come up, 1 so that the guy spending doesnt feel like he has to be spending the whole time he is up there, and so that the other guys know i share:) good luck,

Re: Stage Tips Question
I usually start out going to the people that have small tips then I save the best tipper for last. I really give him more of a show too. I can sometimes close the deal for a dance when I get off stage. I tell him I always save the best for last .
(so he knows it's him) I will watch the stage before I go up to see who is tipping, and what they are tipping so I can plan my attack when I go up to not waste time. Dj always tells me I look like a lion going in for the kill before I go up.lol

Re: Stage Tips Question
I agree with Kharisma on this one. I usually start at one side then work my way to the other. The customers that usually want more will stay, and when I'm done with the other side I come back. And if my song cuts out before I get to come over to the next costumer I apologize to him and say "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to come over to you, ....etc." Then I usually go over to their table and talk with them.
But I know what you mean, I feel like crap when my song cuts out before I can get to all of them.

Re: Stage Tips Question
I suggest, only from a customer's point of view, moving on after at most a minute, saying you have more sets after the song is over - exception would be if almost no one else is at the stage. Other customers want to get their attention, and some of those might buy dances. If the big tipper wants more time, well there's the personal dances post-stage. Even if the big tipper buys some dances, he won't buy them all. Hope this is helpful.
BTW I find it often fun to be the only customer at the tip rail (typically early in the shift), but my purpose is to help her get more customers there by showing them that tippers get attention.
I like Tara's and Kharisma's additions to what I've said.

Re: Stage Tips Question
I'm pretty straight up. I'll dance for the big tipper a minute and then blunty say "Hey, lemme go dance for this guy--I'll be back!" Customers know what's up and they're cool about it. Of course, I'm crass to this might not work for everyone ;)

Re: Stage Tips Question
How long is your typical stage set? I've been places where a dancer only has one or two songs on stage during a busy shift, while other places a dancer has 4 songs or even 15 min on stage. It might help the ladies provide some feedback if they know how your stage set works.

Re: Stage Tips Question
2 songs, pretty much always.

Re: Stage Tips Question
At my club our sets are either 3 or 4 songs, depending on how many girls are working. When I'm on stage I usually start at one end of the tip row and work my way toward the other end, and then go back to the beginning end of the stage again and start over but I will stay by guys who are tipping more for a little longer.

Re: Stage Tips Question
At night typically one song per stage.... so we have to picky with our 3 minutes of time to make any $$ off of stage custy's.... if I don't get to them I tell them to follow me to my next stage.

Re: Stage Tips Question
I'm in a small club, and when there are two customers in the stage, both tipping, I usually shake my ass at one while smiling/leaning in at the other, then switch ends. :-) Seems to work great.
If guy #2 hadn't even put a dollar down to get your attention, screw him! He was probably a cheap asshole who'd have tried to "make you work for it".

Re: Stage Tips Question
I usually go onstage, do my little dance in the middle and start going around to collect tips. If am laying down and a guy is litterally throwing $20+ on me at that time I am not gonig anywhere, as long as he is throwing it steadily and quickly. Now if he is standing there with a fist full of dollars and slowing gives me one at a time expecting more and more for every dollar I give him I walk away.
And like several girls said, if he is interested he will stick around and wait, most guys will realize you are not there just to entertain him, unless he is a drunk prick, that is.

Re: Stage Tips Question
I will skip over guys if I don't see them with any money. If you aren't holding the dollar or it isn't out in front of you where I can see it, I don't have the time to sit and wait for you to dig it out of your pocket. If the stage is full, I go where I can see that I'm going to get money, and I don't waste time with guys who make me wait for it or work for it.

Re: Stage Tips Question
Your non tipping customer probably could see right away that he wasn't going to get a free show on this round, and wasn't interested in doing what it would take to get you to pay attention (putting up a few $$ instead of just one for your entire set).
So if he wasn't willing to throw $2-3 per song of your set, you proabaly didn't lose out on any dances later. Most guys know that dancers approach the biggest stage tippers first after their set, so no great loss on your part.

Re: Stage Tips Question
I find that my one dollar tippers will STAY . I can't ever get them to leave. Shit i've seen them set up camp..ordering drinks and hanging out.
I start counter clockwise going around the stage though. If a guy has a stack out infront of him already, I'll just work him a bit longer...do something I dont do for the one dollar tippers or use him as an example of what more money gets you ..IE more attention.
I hate crowded stages though. Even if its' assured i'll make 50 + bucks there. I just can't deal with the pressure at some points in the evening. I like my 5 guys not 50
