I know lots of us have poles at home so I thought it would be fun to have a thread for candid pole pics or video clips.
Here is a no frills clip of me working out on the pole.

I have been retired for two years and am seriously thinking of starting again part time after the move. I want to lose 10 lbs. before hand so I bought a pole to get back in shape. I don't have a mirror in that room so I use my cam to judge my progress.
here is one from my workout today. http://rapidshare.de/files/7652579/Red_1.mpg.html
all I see is some website for webspace. what am I doing wrong here?

Go to the rapidshare page and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Hit the "Free" download button and it will take you to another page with a link to the file. Rapidshare is a pretty good way to share files.
...after your hit the "free" tab you also need to wait 30 seconds or so before the filename link will appear. In fact, you can watch those 30 seconds "count down" at the bottom of the page.
okay, now I got it. I guess I'm too impatient to read the whole page and figure it out. I want my pole back up! I moved into a new apartment and I think my ceiling is too high to put it up so it's laying on the floor. :(
If you go to my website www.scarlettvancouver.com I currently have a (long!) video of one of my shows up there...it's dark and blurry and there's like 4 pole tricks in the whole thing...but hey, if you're bored!
Wow, Scarlette. Thats great. You have an awesome body!!
Very cool opening pole move 8)Quote:

Hi Scarlett and all you Stripper-web fans,
Awesome video! You are a wonderful dancer, very serpentine and you make those pole moves look so smooth. Thanks for sharing.
Since people are asking, I humbly offer a couple of mini video clips of some pole moves.
Here's the link, click on a pole pic to open the video.

skydancer it didn't show any video, just the pics on a larger scale! Either way, how the hell do you get your body to twist like that lol! I'm a newer dancer and I'm amazed at your flexibility! Damn, i guess i should get to stretching haha
That was definately a great video.Quote:

yoga helps me keep flexible
lol

Nice skydancer. How long have you been doing Yoga? I've been thinking about taking classes hoping it will help with flexibility and reduce stress. What kind of pole is that?
Wow! Ms. Scarlett you had me for the whole 10 min hun.8) Nice Job! Bravo! That is the first video I have seen that truly shows how it really is. You worked that stage, and it shows that you in heels comes so naturally. Very graceful across the floor! I hope to see more from everyone.
Hi Bunny,
Thanks! Yoga is great for flexibility, relaxation and concentration. Helps on the pole too, especially for upside down.
My boyfriend built my pole platform for me. The pole itself is 1 3/4 inches in diameter (I have small hands and couldn't hang on well at 2 inches) and it is brushed stainless steel so it is pretty grippy.
Take care,
Skydancer
^Oh god, I'm so embarassed. But thank you. I cringed when I watched it!
I've since corrected a few things that I didn't know I didn't like about my show...it's a great tool ladies, see if your DJ will let you tape your show (on the sly, because I don't think it's entirely legal :D).
