Okay, getting the courage to audition... any tips?
Okay so I am just going to suck it up and just do it- now or never right? I have so many questions!!
Do you call them and get an audition first then go to audition? Or do you just show up and say you want to audition? Also, if you get hired do you get told when to come back and start working or do you start working on the spot?
I have a pretty good idea what kind of look to strive for and what to wear but how about acting the part? Does it help to be sweet and friendly or really professional or... dare I say "flirty?"
Lol I have another question too: how in the world do you gracefully take off your bottoms- shorts or skirt or whatever- with those insane platform heels on??! I have been practicing lap dancing on my bf and sometimes my bottoms get awkwardly stuck on my heels and I think if that happens at the club I will just look embarrassed and giggle while looking into their eyes and just pretend to be playful?? But it's so embarrassing!! Any tricks to gracefully take your bottoms off?
Okay, one last question I promise! Um, what if they don't hire you? Do you just move on and go somewhere else or do you ask why and fix it and then you come back later for another audition?? :O

Don't flirt with the managers, patrons in the club yes, managers, no. If you want to be comfortable with them, keep it business, and it's ok to tell them your nervous, but will do your best.
I never took bottoms off, but with shorts, just turn around and bend over, make it a tease with them seeing your ass, and they wont notice if your feet stumble..also, you can let them drop while standing up, take one foot out, then bendover, and make it a show of sliding the shorts ofer your leg, you know, up and down, then stand back up and kick it aside.
This is one reason why tear away clothing is nicer, dont have to deal with it getting stuck in shoes...If I remember right wicked temptations has a line of tear away thongs..
Hope I helped..

I still don't know how to gracefully take off my bottoms. The other night I tried to but I almost tripped and fell on them! No one cared though, all they see is a hot girl dancing.;)

HAHAHA gracefully take off bottoms! LOL Well, this will come with experience, i'm still mastering it lol. But no one at my club is actually great at it so i'm not worried about it. Basically just pull them down and bend over keeping your legs stiff and your ass in the air. If there is a bar near the steps to get on stage or anywhere use it for support so you don't fall. Then just get your feet out lol. one foot at a time, go slow you'll do just fine.
As for the audition, you can call ahead, and you can go in and mention you'd like to work there. Either is fine, you'll most likely have to come in on a seperate day to audition. Bring your outfit with you, be YOURSELF! Don't put on an act, they'll see right through it. If you're nervous say so, they'll understand. I have an anxiety condition and i get really freaked out about stupid things, i always tell people i'm nervous and that it's silly. I know i shouldn't be lol and then we laugh about it.
Good Luck!

The best ways I've found to take off bottoms without making a fool of myself:
On the floor -- slide off while putting legs in the air, bend legs back down to finish the job
Standing -- lift one leg bent to where foot is almost at waist level, slide through. Repeat. You need really stretchy panties for that one.

Thank you ladies!! I've been tempted b/c I am a "happy drunk" and figured it would help even though I know it's bad and I shouldn't. I was going to go audition today but I realized I may end up having to work the shift right away so I chickened out. That and I realize I need to make saftey precautions- where to keep my money/how to manage my money, buying some pepper spray for my keychain, figuring out how to get there and back, thinking about getting followed, etc. Today, I got followed by some jerk who tried to hit on me in the parking lot and I was cussing and driving around in circles trying to lose him. I'm so glad this happened because it's a sign maybe. I totally forgot about being safe and thinking about where I supposedly live what I supposedly do... made up things I can say when people ask. I think the first thing I'm going to do after I start dancing is invest in some good health insurance lol, in case I start learning pole tricks and hurt myself and I can't work for a few months.

As for managing your money, I always put half in a savings account, I keep 20% set aside for taxes, and the rest I use for bills or for my own joy. As for getting followed after work, most clubs have a bouncer that will walk you out at the end of the night, and at my club, we aren't allowed to leave until all customers are out of the parking lot. And I always take a different way home from work every night just to be on the safe side.
