I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs? Why do you care? Isn't your own income what is important? A so called "top earners" income has no effect whatsoever on me or my income. Are you going by word of mouth?(girls lie) or watching girls spend a ton of time with a guy? I used to think the girls that sat with one guy all night were banking, turns out they were selling themselves short bigtime. I have recently done doubles and champange rooms more with a few girls and when i negotiate the prices, they(the girls) seem to be suprised at how much money the custy agrees to in a short period of time. They will actually stay longer with him after I leave b/c they feel bad (trust me hes out of spending money at this point). IMO there is no room for feeling bad for a custy, move on and make more. I don't get it, b/c these are the same girls that complain when I have more $$ at the end of the night. This is a big reason I prefer to work alone.

I cant tell if this was a question or a rant...?

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
sorry i guess it turned into a rant:-\, but really how do yo u know who the top earners are? and like i asked why is it important?

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Hehe, I proclaimed myself "top earner" for my own personal marketeability. Honestly, I have no idea what anyone else made, nor did I disclose. But it makes an excellent sales argument. The in-demand "it" girl sales pitch works wonders. Potential customers would rather not lose something that is desired by all than to gain something freely available. This premise works across multiple industries. I'm a "top earner" in my mind, whatever that means, hehehe. Work that shit! ;)

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
It really doesn't matter. It may on occassion be useful to know in some circumstances what the top income earning potential may be in a club (if the top earner is making $400 a night vs. $1500 a night, you have a big difference) but knowing who, specifically it is doesn't matter one bit. And why should it for that matter? Focus on you, and sooner or later you'll be #1 and you probably won't even know it.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
This advice has been given before and I agree with it. You watch for the top earners so you can learn where to improve. If you are in your own world at work you will progress a lot slower. I had been happy making $4-600 a night until I heard a little braggart in the dressing room swear she never leaves with less than $900 a night. I scratched my head because she wasn't a supermodel or a genius. But I took her at her word, watched her over a few days and experimented with her approach. I upped my nightly money to $7-900 range. Even on days she was idle and depressed I kept banking.:O So that's why you look out for the big bankin' girls. Don't player hate.....educate. Right, DancerWealth?

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Good point Optimist. I guess what I was getting at was that going around all night worrying as to who is making what isn't helpful as that's all you'll dwell on. Also understand that many dancers lie or greatly exaggerate what they earn so in many cases, you may be basing your yardstick on unreliable information.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I certaintly dont dwell all night on whos making money but if I see someone constantly doing well and getting dances Im for sure going to watch them. Sometimes it drives me to see that other girls are making money regardless of what they look like (and I dont know how they talk to customers)..I think if damn shes making money I can too.
Otoh, If no one is making money itll drive me to at least try the crowd.
I do like to know what the club potential is as it helps me goal myself. Besides, sometimes the top earner is a top earner for a reason good skills or doing extras.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
It's usually pretty obvious who the top earners in a club are. How can you not notice that one particular girl is ALWAYS in the VIP or always counting stacks of hundreds in the dressing room? It matters because it can help you to measure yourself against her and decide what you need to improve on. Or how about when the stage is packed for one particular girl and empty for the next 10.... yeah we're all making the same amount of money here *rolls eyes* watch and learn!

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I watch top earners. A top earner to me is a dancer who is ALWAYS in demand and the customers are lined up begging for a moment of her time so that they can have the priviledge of her dancing for them. To be a top earner, you need skill, not boobs, not looks, SKILL. See what they do and copy.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Kinda sounds to me like you yourself ARE one of the top earners at your club, but arn't being acnoledged (sp?) as one. I only say this because you say girls get mad at the end of the night cause you made more $ then them. So you must somehow want to be telling or showing how much you made for them to even be mad. I myself never tell others or let them see how much I made, they know im always busy so they know im a top earner.
Every dancer im sure wants to be "top dog",in order to do so you got to find them and beat them or join them, and more $ more $ more $.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Where I just came from, we al knew who the top earners were b/c we could see who was busy all night and who wasn't. And it ies easy to fugure out who is giving discount dances by wathing who is alwys dancing fo rthe guy who wants a deal. A girl who is always busy and not undercutting is making good $$.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
One of the top earners where I work makes her money by charging more for all her dances. Once she has them back in the room she tells customers that they can get a $10 dance for no touch and contact dances are $20. When guys hear that they go for the $20 dance (The club is a $10 dance club, but it used to be $20 a little over a months ago).
She also encourages the rest of us to do the same thing. You can't do it with regulars though and I try it when I think I can get away with it. She's a really good hustler though and most of her customers go for the $20 dances. Also, by encouraging us to do the same thing it helps her get away with it in addition to spreading the wealth. I definitley make more a night when I get a few $20 dances in.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
The only way I have ever been able to gauge
how much dancers made was at tip out time.
The gals that had a real good night, are generous,
the gals that did not are full of excuses.
Like one previous poster said, you listen, you observe, you learn.
That is why I never brag.
Compeition is cut throat enough without having
copy cats.
No, I rather copy after somebody than have somebody
copy after me.

That's a great idea. I'm going to start doing that, I think. The club I'm about to try has the same pricing structure as my old club - $20 topless, $40 nude, $120 3-song nude VIP. Hardly anyone tips beyond the minimum. I think I'll make the $20 and $40 dances touchless, set medium contact at $25 and $50, and save the hard contact for the VIP but leave the pricing where it is. That makes the VIP an even better deal so it would be easier to sell. Thanks for the tip!

It really pisses me off and hurts my $$ when girls follow me around and hang on me all night b/c i make more than them, i don't brag about my $$ never said I was a top earner. So i was just wondering and ranting. This week alone I have had 3 girls already come up and ask for my # b/c thety wanna follow me around at work, well at first it was flattering, but now it is just annoying. I guess i am a bitch to be upset about such a thing but I do prefer to work on my own, and why should I help other girls ,who i never met before? They can go take all the sales classes I have, I didn't sign up to be teacher. Again, sorry and thanks for all the responses.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I don't know what to say about the girls at your club stalking you, that's a little odd.
I know who the top earners are at my club (lapdance prices are non-negotiable and at the end of the night we turn in tickets so it's easy to see who has what), but I am not caught up on them. And I don't believe the girls who sit in the dressing room and brag. Nobody follows them around and everybody has there own hustle, but like someone said before, seeing what they do differently can make a difference in earnings.
I don't have the time or the energy to be "grilling" anybody at work, I gotta make money. But I do make a mental note of the top earners' (there's more than one) technique. If it fits my style, I'll give it a try and see what happens, if not, I leave it alone.
At the end of the day, it's just learning.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I don't know or care who the top earners in my club, I just care that I'm making money.
I actually get super annoyed when girls ask me how much I made.
I have my super close friends that know but thats why they are friends.

No thats not what iam saying. The only way other girls know how much i make is because sometimes i do doubles and the other girls are shocked when i get the cust to pay more then they thought was possible (for them too). So thats how they know and then they tell each other in the dressing room and then i have girls who i dont even know wanting to work with me.
sorry iam pissed, not at anyone just because it hurts my money to babysit other girls that dont know how to hustle.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I would say - please stop following me around - go to stripperweb.com and look at hustle hut.... :)

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Because I'm new to my club, and new to dancing, it helps me to know what a top-earner makes at my club. That way, I have something to aspire to. One of the uber-strippers (as some of us call them;)) in my club, is full of energy on stage, constantly moves on the floor from group to group, man to man... and gives a really entertaining lapdance. She never tells anyone how much she makes. But she said her range is at least $500 on a week night, and almost never leaves with less than $1000 on sundays. I always see a S-load of 20's and 100's in her pile on the dressing room counter so she's not totally talking out of her ass. She's a hell of a hustler, and that's why. I dont want to BE her. But I figure if she can do it, I can too, in my own way. I've averaged in the 290's since i've been at the club, so i know i have a long way to go until I can consistently pull that amount, and it's exciting knowing that I CAN do that in my club. Call me naive, but I think there's nothing wrong with being inspired or looking up to someone at any job, in any field. For me to really move up in the club though, I know I have to concentrate on my OWN hustle, and that's the way i'm gonna do it. 8)

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
There is a real easy way at my club to see who the top earners are, our vip's are up stairs and a floor man makes an X next to your name every time u do a dance...so if you want to see how the other girls are doing in the club, go look at the vip list...i really do hate this list because it shows what i do, and others know and i get hassled some times. But some nights i only do a few dances, and sit in vip all night and make good money, just selling my time. Last comment, top earner is all in your head, if you put negative words in your head your money flow will be less, its all in your attitude...even if i'm not a top earner i'll still stay it to myself so i give off a positive glow.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
It never hurts to help someone out. It's all about karma. If you take the time to help someone, even if it's just giving them a little helpful hint it will come back to you three fold. Granted getting followed around has got to suck. I think you should tell the girls who are stalking you something like "Not to be a bitch but you can't follow me around all night. You're hurting my money. If you want do better why don't you _______" and give them a suggestion to go work on. That would be the best way to handle it. I give you an example: Tuesday night I was in a bad mood about mid shift. I was tired, and it was hella slow. I had a bit of money but nothing to brag about. I'm sitting at the bar drinking some water and trying to get my second wind when out of no where this new girl who it was her first night dancing comes bounding over to me and plops herself down and just starts going off about everything how nervous and excited she is what an asshole first VIP custy was and then she starts bomarding me with questions. I was tired and cranky and just wanted to be left alone but hell it was her first night I wasn't gonna be a bitch so I gave her a 10 min run down on the basics: how I hustle, what I look for, some basic do's and don'ts and I told her if she had any questions she was welcome to come find me. Well as soon as I got up like with in 5 mins I sold a VIP. The night picked up and I ended up doing way above average for a Tuesday. I honestly believe that was karma thanking me for helping a new girl. Anyhow my point is don't be so reluctant to help someone. It will come back to you.

Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
Yeah. I think sometimes newbies especially young ones just want to be your friend because they admire you. Be pleasant to them and they will probably stop stalking. Like papparazzi, if you give 'em what they want they'll relax.
-
Re: I wanna know how everybody knows who the "top earners" are in their clubs?
I have found that when I help out a newbie they remember it, as I remember the girls that helped me when I first started. After they get some experence they will pay you back, for example, get their custy's to tip you on stage, or if it is a custy that likes girl-on-girl they will of course want you to dance for them. I have had many mediocure nights turn into REALLY great nights by those that I helped out when they started out. Besides, it is so much easier to be nice and it won't ruin your mood for the rest of the shift.
