Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus

You gotta admit, this was a creative idea, but considering the penalties involved was incredibly stupid to do.
;D
I hope this doesn't initiate calls for another round of stupid anti-stripper laws in Tampa.
Oops, too late. :(

Hmmmm... What a crafty, clever idea... Too bad the authorities didn't agree... It seems like Deja Vu may be able to at least beat these charges providing they don't do it again. I hope though that the club provides the dancers and bouncers with financial assistance to fight these charges.
Re: Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus
Its a GREAT idea. Actually, its something I've talked about doing here in Texas with friends. BUT, if there were such a bust, I couldn't risk the arrest.
Perhaps they shouldn't have sold alcohol on the bus and just provided dances? Doh, another novel idea foiled by the pigs!!!

the article says the were charged with performing an "unnatural and lascivious act". now, that sounds like my kind of club. seriously, i'm sure that's just the usual legal hyperbole. still, it has a nice ring to it.

that's a shame. at one time, tampa used to be known as a mecca for nasty laps. now, it's getting passed in the dust by other cities.
Re: Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus
I met a dancer who claimed that she was working on the bus. She said she was high on something and playing with herself (and others) on the bus for tips. For once, it wasn't hype.
You can still get nasty laps in Tampa. You just can't get them from the really hot girls who dance at the more popular clubs.
The stripper bus isn't a particularly novel idea. Stripper busses have been around for a while in Vegas, not to mention the limousine services that have been around for even longer. There was even a CSI episode involving a stripper bus.
Re: Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus
where the dances full contact or two hand touch?
Re: Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus
Tampa Prosecutors dropped the charges 3/20/06. It sure pays to have a good lawyer. Maybe someone else saw the Nolle Prossed reported but I didn't and the good folks of Tampa were again ripped off by the vice police. The only reason I know is I know one of the charged dancers and I followed her case in the city records web site. The same chick got busted a couple of years ago for prostitution at another club and they dropped those charges too. The moral of the story is if you ever need a lawer in Tampa give Luke Lirot a call.
Re: Tampa police bust "lap dance" bus
The regulations in Tampa are out of control. Too many good girls get busted for stupid shit like "solicitation of alcohol" because they tell a customer his drink looks good and that is "suggestive selling". <-- Yes that really happened. Unfortunately (at least in my opinion) there are also a lot of clubs where "extras" are the norm and many of the girls are willing to do anything for some coke money. I hate it here. Too many clubs, too much smut, and cops trying to bust -anyone- instead of the right people. Trying to be a legit stripper in Tampa is hard work.
