Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
im obssessed with The Apprentice on NBC.... about a month ago i read in people magazine that Alla, one of the contestants was a former dancer in Las Vegas.. i wanna say she used to work at Treausures.... anyway she did really well on the show, made to the final four before being axed by Trump.... looks like some of her stripping skills paid off out in the business world... just thought it was interesting....
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
Kamryn, I honestly thought that Alla would make it to the final two along with Randall, whom I believe will be The Apprentice. She is a successful woman in her own right (owns a chain of day spas).
Sucks that she would be fired for being a strong woman who knows how to get the job done. Now she can go back to being her own person without having to deal with those stuck up Trump people.
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
Oh, I forgot that there was a russian ex-stripper on the show! I'll have to check out the reruns or get DVD. Gotta support our girls!
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
i wonder if anyone knew her or worked with her.. yeah... that lady in the board room, Karen, is a BITCH....

Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
She danced over 10 years ago at the Palomino and was involved in a murder scandal. I was suprised Trump fired her and the other woman both last night. Here's the story about her:
Apprentice Alla Uncovered

That Donald Trump sure knows how to pick a winner.
The real estate mogul recently announced the cast for the fourth season of The Apprentice, boasting that he had personally selected 17 of the 18 contestants, among them a "tough as nails" ex-stripper.
Though the official NBC bio for salon and spa chain owner Alla Wartenberg focuses on her self-made millions and fails to mention her pole-dancing past, all it took was a little digging from the super sleuths at the Smoking Gun to uncover the goods on the 31-year-old Apprentice contender.
Back in her stripper days, Wartenberg danced at Las Vegas' Palomino Club under the name Ecstasy and was involved in a "pretty platonic relationship" with convicted murderer Robert Acremant, a client of hers who apparently considered her his girlfriend.
On his frequent visits to the club, Acremant would reportedly shell out between $500 and $1,500 for a night in the company of Alla/Ecstasy (or "X," as her friends called her) and eventually developed something of a cash flow problem.
Low on funds, but desperate to continue seeing his scantily-clad lady friend, Acremant attempted to rob a pair of Oregon women in 1995 but ended up killing them in a heist-gone-wrong.
Later that year, he also murdered Scott George, a friend from California, in a second robbery attempt. He was convicted of all three murders and was sentenced to death in both California and Oregon, where he is currently on Death Row.
As a result of her association with Acremant, Wartenberg was called upon to testify at his trial in Tulare County Superior Court in August 2002, where she explained that she had simply "used him for money."
"I liked him as a client," Wartenburg said, according to the court transcript. "I thought he was really nice."
Wartenberg said she would meet Acremant outside of the Palomino occasionally to share a meal. According to her testimony, on his last visit to Vegas, Acremant pulled both a stun gun and a handgun on her while they were sitting in a car and began "panicking and freaking out, telling me that he, you know, he was very upset with me because I never loved him."
Though Wartenberg escaped without injury, she told the jury that she was left "emotionally injured and scarred for life" by her encounters with Acremant.
Fast forward a decade and one finds a Wartenberg more akin to the image presented by her NBC bio, which explains that she and her parents moved to America from Russia in 1988 in pursuit of the "American Dream." Now a happily-married mother of four, the spa owner is sitting on millions and is currently at work developing her own European-derived skin and hair care lines.
After all that Wartenberg experienced in pursuit of said American Dream, we're thinking that sitting opposite Trump in the boardroom should be a piece of cake. (Maybe she should have tried out for Survivor instead.)
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
I decided to bring back this apprentice thread to ask every one, who watchesm what they thought of the finale. I feel as though Randall deserved this position. His background, ability to get along with team members, and leadership wins throughout the 11 weeks were great. I also feel Rebecca was good as well. She got along with people, never down-talked people, and worked hard. (Her difference was not having as many wins and Randall.)
I feel as though the way Randall argued to be hired in the boardroom was a little more aggressive than usual but it could have been the pressure.
Anyway,,, when Donald asked Randall if he would hire Rebecca... and Randall said no after he was already hired...I am up in the air. In a way I feel that Randall had a right to share his own glory for that night... but in another way i thought it was out his his character, that he portrayed during the 11 weeks, to say no to another very good candidate. This issue has become public and was on Larry King. Randall says he meant for that night he would not hire her...or something... anyway im not sure how i feel...
Any one else have information or opinions on this?
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
If Trump really thinks she is gold he will hire her in the quiet. You do not allow good people to escape.
I think he was right to protect his "trophy." That was interesting that Trump asked that he share the glory. The dude sweated it out just to have his win diluted?
I think the most shocking was that he said no. If you watch the show again - really that is all he said. Maybe six or seven words in a matter of fact voice.
Add to that, it might have been Trumps final unofficial test - is he a push over? Trump strikes me as someone who bargains hard and Randall may have recognized what was going on and acted appropriately.
After all, he is hired - but hired for what property/project? The game is still on for Randall even though it is over for the rest of us.
As for Alla, given the news story posted above, I would say she has lousy stripper skills. Very lousy stripper skills.

WTF does that mean? The way I read it, she was a pretty damn good stripper and a smart businesswoman. So, she ran into some bad luck and bad people. Bad people are ubiquitous in the industry. How does that make her a lousy stripper? What are "good" stripper skills to have? She made money, had an exit plan, and is now successful..............

Close your eyes, Katrine, and ignore the obvious. /:O
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
On Larry King, Donald Trump said that he was surprised that Randall said no... but gave no explanation why. Yea, Donald definitley asked the question for some sort of reason. Rebecca has gotten many job offers, and working for Donald is an open option for her as well right now.
As for Allah, she is a very good business woman. I watched her through every episode... one thing about her is that she is very independant and gets the job done. The task that she got fired on... she was not great. She down-talked her partner alot when it was unnecessary. She is not always great when working with others. Overall, Allah was honest, spoke her mind, and was a hell of a worker.
In an interview... she referred to her stripping as a learning experiance... and talked about how everything in her life is an experiance and has made her stronger. In that sense, it's great to hear some credit given, on stripping, from a professional smart woman. It could be easy for a self made millionare like herself... to forget about her youthful stripping days when she was not as prominent and established, but she still kept it apart of her.
AS for this customer stuff.... we all know how this goes. You really just never know who said what. Unfortunate for the victims.
Re: Former Stripper did well on The Apprentice
Another thing,,, i know one could say that Alla had no choice but to give her stripping recognition bc the media would have found it anyway.... but in the interview... atleast the one i saw... she never once downplayed her stripping decision. You hear alot of women say.... welll i was young... needed money... blah blah. I did not hear any of that. She simply stated how long she did it and that it was an experiance like any other .... that made her stronger.

Cheerist, are you on the rag or something lately? No, I don't get how she was a lousy stripper just because she got caught up with some riff raff. Do you actually KNOW any strippers?:-\
