Genital piercing accidents?
Has anyone had any injuries to a genital piercing at all, acidently getting caught on clothing or bikini clips etc?
Just wondered, I have put off geting some piercings for that reason as I am quite an active dancer who tends to rip clothing off and throw it around. How careful do you have to be generally?

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
Excellent question!
I have had my VCH for 3 years now. Thats a vertical clitoral hood.
I have a bent bar with gems on both the top and bottom. I love and recommend it! Now the question you asked LOL
Now bare in mind that I almost never wear panties. I have never had a problem with it cathing on clothes as they are removed or torn off. It does catch sometimes when I am wearing tight pants and cross my legs. By catch I mean pulling a little, which is a nice little surprise most of the time. But When you try and move too quickly like jump up from your seat it may need to be adjusted. Other than that it is the most sexy fun piercing. Verticals are known to be more of a sensual piercing than the Horizontals it all depends on your particular anatomy ie more meat on your clit. An outie.
Hope this helps!! Any more questions just ask!;)

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
I have never had any accidents with mine in the past 5 years. It will depend on your anatomy whether you get a hoop or barbell. An experienced piercer will determine this for you. I have a hoop and it still keeps itself pretty tucked in the skin/hood fold unless I have my legs spread wide open. When I move around I rarely notice it's there. Sometimes if I wear very tight clothing I have to adjust it though.
It's AWESOME when your partner is snacking on you ;) but can be irritating if you're using a powerful vibe.

"It's AWESOME when your partner is snacking on you but can be irritating if you're using a powerful vibe."
Exactly I had to stop using my pocket rocket way too intense felt like a belt sander hitting my clit LOL
And yes they feel awesome! I find that when you change the jewelry every once in a while the sensation intensifies for a while.

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
So if you get it done you can pretty mch forget about using a vibrator again unless you remove it? That sucks, I wanted to get one but a vibrator is the only way I can orgasm.
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
No No !! Just I found my pocket rocket too intense. But I have other vibes that work amazing with it!!
VIBE + Piercing = mind blowing orgasm!!

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
Phew! That's good news :D
I was worried too about a clit peircing not being good with vibes, thanks for clarifying that up!
I've thought about getting my hood pierced for quite some time but am worried about messing with that area. I figure "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Obviously, one has this procedure done by a very qualified piercer but I wanted to ask those who've had it done:
- How much did the prep for piercing hurt? (any use of forceps or other uncomfortable tools?)
- How much did the actual piercing hurt? (painful but tolerable or seeing stars and passing out?)
- How long was the healing/recovery process?
- Did it heal well/easily? What cleaning routine did you do during your healing time?
- Now that's it all done with, was it worth it? Would you do it again?
I appreciate any personal insight and stories :)
I've had a few body piercings over the years, first was my tongue stud. Loved it, wore it 8-9 years but had to let it go as it started causing some gum damage.
Had both my nipples pierced before my BA, mainly to augment sensitivity. Absolutely loved them but forgot to give them to my plastic surgeon to put back in after my BA. By the time I was able to try myself, the piercings had already started to close and I was too sore. Would love to get them redone but since my BA, I'm one of the rare freak cases where I gained tons of sensitivity in my nipples (used to have almost none). Now the idea of getting them pierced again is a bit too scary, I know it'll hurt like a mofo now!
I've been tinkering for a long while about getting my girly bits pierced, I'm just taking a really looong time to decide, lol! I think they look awesome and I think can handle it. Would love to hear about some of your experiences :)

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
Does anyone know if they set off metal detectors? The only thing I really would want to get is a hood piercing but besides being scared I go through a lot of metal detectors in state buildings and it would be embarsing if they have to keep wanding me and it beeps right there!
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
^^^ LOL, no, I've never had this happen.
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
no metal detecters dont go off lol.
i've had mine for 10 years and i've never had an accident. lot's of fun but no accidents heh
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
Thanks Tigress, Kamryn and Lola!
I think I shall leave it for a while longer - I am always leaping about and my clits a definate outie.
Piercings wont set off metal detectors unless you have ALOT of them / large jewlery.
For the other piercing questions - check the mountains of info over at bmezine.com

No pain at all really simple set up
- How much did the actual piercing hurt? (painful but tolerable or seeing stars and passing out?)
Painful for about 2 seconds
- How long was the healing/recovery process?
About 2 weeks till I could use it LOL about 4 weeks till no pain at all
- Did it heal well/easily? What cleaning routine did you do during your healing time?
fastest healing piercing ever, just used a sea salt soak for the first 5 or 6 days
- Now that's it all done with, was it worth it? Would you do it again?
AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
if u do decide to get it done make sure u go to a realible and professional that knows the area very well! Meaning make sure he or she looks at the area and seeing if its actual pierciable.
I have mine pierced a VCH(vertical clit hood) had it for 2 months! No problems at all.
also another good place to visit is http://www.tribalectic.com/Home.asp they have some good personal experiences on there and also a forum.

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
I have my hood pierced as well and I've only had one accident. I was pretty much wasted out of my mind after too many tequila shots and was wiping after I had peed. I was basically being a retard and wiped to hard and kinduv pulled the ring. It shocked me back in to sobriety, but there was no lasting after effects besides the minimum discomfort felt in that moment.

I have had mine done for almost 5 years BTW.
The prep didn't hurt at all, lol. They made me go pee, then clean off with betadine wipes. When I got back into the room they cleaned me off again with the betadine.
They do use forceps, and the pinch a bit but not really a painful thing.
The pain was intense, but bizarre. It wasn't a stabbing pain or anything, it was more of a heat pain. And yes I did orgasm from it alone. I squealed a little, but that was it. As soon as they put the jewelry in and took the forceps off, the pain went away and hasn't returned since.
It took about 2 weeks I would say to heal. It's very thin skin there, and vaginal juices are acidic in nature, so I think that helped to reduce infection.
It healed really easy with no complications, I used the hopsital cleansing soap they gave me, and that's it.
I would do it again, since all I have to do is wiggle the right way and I'm instantly wet and in the mood, lol. But far warning, HUBBY HATES IT!
I usually end up (about 50% of the time) taking it out duing foreplay. He has chipped a tooth on it before, and since we do tend to get "creative" I don't want him to actually break a tooth on it.
*****WARNING*****
Do not get your actual clit pierced!!!!! Since everyone is different, the piercer might do a great job, but you will still loose ALL feeling in your clit.
When dealing with that piercing, you have about a 50/50 chance for never being able to have a clitoral orgasm ever again.
That why at the shop I was a piercer at, we refused to do actual clit piercings. We would however do hood piercings. And IMO they are the best. I have a vertical hood, with a 5/8" 12ga bent barbell. The bottom ball rests on my clit 24/7 and upon playing with the top portion of the ring, I can soar to orgams with no real touching of my actual body.

ROFL!!!! Sorry for laughing, but I find that question funny.
Body jewelry is made from surgical grade stainless steel. It has a little to minute nickle count, and it will not set off a metal detector. The nickel in metal is what sets them off. That's why guns would but gold necklaces won't.

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
I actually want a triangle piercing (goes behind the clitoris) - if possible, which I think it is - anyone got one of these?
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
^^^Don't know about that one, but I have seen a "rings of saturn" before and it's fairly easy.
The rings, is where you have a vert barbell with a horiz ring around it.
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
I quite like those aswell though had no idea that was the name. Not for me though, I am sorta "prominant" down there for want of a better word and think anything vertical is just asking for an accident to happen!
-
Re: Genital piercing accidents?
Thanks a ton Tigress and Kitana for sharing about your piercing experiences :)
I must admit, I am getting quite interested in getting a nice hood piercing! I will definitely be researching the subject in more detail.
Rest assured that should I go through with this piercing, it will be only with a qualified professional. I wouldn't dare risk my girly bits otherwise ;)

Deanna wants one of these. She already has a VCH, with a hoop..
The only problem with a triangle is you need a larger clitoral area, they need to pull the clitoris out and away to pierce behind it.
As far as accidents go neither of us has had any(I have a p.a.), other than catching our tongue rings in it. I've tried to set off metal detectors to no avail, altho flying out of sky harbor last year the guy searching me saw my nipple jewelry and pointed it out to his female counterpart...she offered to give me a strip search so she could find out what else was done....}:D

I never knew quite what set the off. I don't have any body jewelery and rarely wear earrings or jewelry even but used to wear a watch a lot and it never set them off. However sometimes my shoes set them off and the guy said it was the metal that supports the heel of the shoe.

Re: Genital piercing accidents?
I have a triangle, as well as a VCH. Since it is a deep piercing the jewelry itself is bigger to acomodate all that extra skin. In my opinion it hurt much worse than the VCH, which I also found incredibly painful. But everyone is different. Whenever I wear my fishnet bodysuit I get the barbell caught on it all the time, and it feels great, but it takes me a few seconds to get it out, and interupts my show. Also just last night I was in a hurry and took off my underwear (a very scanty thong, which I don't usually wear) and it got caught and also ripped it out. OUCH. It had me on the floor whimpering. Although the piercing is probably too deep to get ripped out it sure felt like it. I recommend them though. I love the way it looks and it feels nice too, unlike my VCH.
