Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
This is kind of sounding bad in my head but, I'm thinking that if I could get a regular to co-sign for my implants I could get a really low pay-back rate.
Has anyone ever done this?
What are potential problems with having someone you don't know very well co-sign for you on something like this?
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
You could possibly end up 'owing' him more than cash. Wtvr it may be be prepared for what he might want more than money. If you REALLY trust him then this might not be a problem. Also, he can default on the loan but that would be ruining both of yours' credit. Otherwise (I dont have the best credit still making it) wait and pay in cash if you can.

Bad credit + desire for implants = save, save, save!
I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear but paying for them outright really is the best way. :)

This is the first thing that came to my mind.
OK - me (horrible horrible horrible saver)... I made an appointment 4 months away.... I had 16 weeks to save for my $4000 breast implants plus another $2000+ for expenses. Thats $6000!
I worked my ass off and each week got a Cashiers Check IN MY DOCTORS NAME for $400 (for 10 weeks, the rest I put in my name :) ). Come time for boob job I had the money and everything was a go.
If $400 a week is too hard (like you live in an area where you only make $600-700 a week) then set your appointment for 6 months away. Say this June/July and save $250 a week IN A CASHIERS CHECK
(I say this because from experience if its available in cash or my check/save acct Ill spend it even tho I KNOW its for my boob job)... if its in a cashiers check in the doctors name its easier not to spend!
Youll have your new boobies so soon! Cant you picture it! Get to work!
Im actually doing this again. Getting bigger boobies in April. Yay me!
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
^what a great idea! Like layaway! :)
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
Yup. And I know a couple other girls that wanted boobs but thought they couldnt save the $$ until I gave them this idea. :)
AND if you really want to go all out throw another $50 in there a week for the interest you WOULD HAVE PAID and get yourself a bunch of new lingerie! LOL
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
if you could convince a customer to cosign, you could probably put a little more effort in your hustle and get those babies paid off. I know alot of girls who have done it, and I've read somewhere that Pamela Anderson even got her's paid off by a rich man friend when she began as a playboy model. hehe.
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
The downside to having a customer co-sign on the loan with you is that they'd have your full, real name, your home address, AND your social security number. That's too much info to give "just anyone".
Do what AudreyLeigh suggested. And, I agree with RTB...if you can talk someone into co-signing on your loan for you, then you should be using your hustle skills to be making more money to just pay in cash. ;)
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
Audrey's idea seems to be the way to go. :)
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
It sounds like she wants the co-signer to get a lower rate, not to pay for it. I'm against this idea too. I have a thing about people from work knowing personal information about me. Plus as someone that has been asked to be a co-signer on a loan, it's an uncomfortable position to be in. Basically it's high risk and little reward to be a co-signer, so most people don't want to do it.
If you are making payments, you are essentially doing what Audrey said, only you've done that before instead of after.....but you are saving a ton of money.
I'm in the middle of saving for mine right now. I'm working an hour extra every night until surgery and maybe I'll do a couple of double shifts. I want to have the boob money ($8600) plus one month of living expenses.

You can try http://www.doctorssayyes.com
I looks like a scam, but after doing some reasearch, and later, going to a consultation with one of the most respected drs. in NJ, I can tell you it's not.
They ALWAYS finance your surgery, but depending on your credit score, they'll ask you for a down payment or not. You'll have to pay $500 to hold your appointment with the doctor.
My surgery is scheduled for March 7th :)
Good Luck
Editted to add this: Be aware that the surgery may endup costing more than they'll tell you. They told me it'd be $5000 + interest, but it's actually like $7500 + interests. However since I can't save money, it's still a good deal for me.
Re: Bad credit + desire for implants = ?
the problem with that service is that you have to go to the surgeon they want you to go to. They may be reputable, but they might not be able to give you the results you ant (size and placement).
A lot of women on the BA board I'm on have used them. it's not a scam, but it limits you.

That was actually one of my concerns, and I can't speak for everyone who's tried that company, but I did get to choose size and placement. About the doctor, you're partly right. You don't get to choose ANY doctor. At first they assigned me a consultation with a doctor in NY but after some reasearch, I asked them if it could be changed, and they actually did change it, for one of the top surgeons in NJ. :)
