Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Okay so i have been dancing for about a year now. Iwork day sshift a very well known club. Not an exreme amont of people during the day, but most girls average at least 200 a day. Me on the other hand, I work six days a week and most of the time make under 100 or right at 100. About every week and a half i will have a day where i make200-400. Then the rest of tghe week any where from nothing over house fees to take home 30.00. I have had a couple regulars here and there. But most of the time its just pure luck if i get a vip or have a great day. Brand new dancers (ie people who have never danced before) Come in and in about a week or two or pulling more money in then i am. I ask people for dances, i am just not seeing what the $%$# ois going on. I like my job but i am getting very discoureged. Most of the time everyone including waitress are making more money then me. I am like why am i doing this this is supposed to be such good money. I need help on what to do. ADvice anything.
Thankyou.
p.s. i have asked to switch to night shift they will not let me. I have thought about other clubs but i am comfortable with the people i work with and am scared to death of trying out at a new club!
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Did they tell you why you can't go on nights???I would go to another club.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I rec. taking the dancerwealth seminar its helping me to be a better hustler and not be so stressed at work. Plus, after 1 1/2 years non-consecuitivley being a dancer Ive learned alot so far.
I know how you feel. I quit dancing the 1st time b/c this happened to me too. Seeing the waitresses turn dancers mkaing more than me depressed the hell outta me. So I know how you feel.
Whats the one reason or few you think you are not making as much as you should be?
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I don't think my hustle is very strong. I know for a fact that there are a couple of girls that do extras. But i know that some of the girls that are my friends don't do extras and still bank. I get bored with some of the men that come in there after awhile it is hard to pay attention when they babble on. Lol. The night manager said that there are too many girls on nights. IT is almost impossible for day girls to switch to night girls at this club, unless something is involved with management or you are kissing some major ass.
p.s. daytimer... I am an entertainer not a prostitute. So STFU.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Yeah, you need to switch clubs.I have never heard of any club that has too many girls on nights and I have been dancing for 11 years.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
If its a huge giant ratio between dancers:customers and they wont even let you try it out for a few nights then Id consider another club. If youre making 100 and youve noticed 'good' girl walking w/ only a 100 more then Id still switch clubs.
If youre a good hustler then there is no reason they shouldnt even let you try at least.
Try out another club while you still work at this club (dont tell your current club about this) and work nights to see if they fit you somewhere else.
Are you in america?

Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Switch clubs. You may be comfortable at the club you're working at now, but being comfortable doesn't pay the bills. You can always become comfortable at another club. You've been working at this club for over a year, so the money situation isn't likely to change, since it hasn't yet. Check out other clubs in your area and give them a shot.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Its hard to say why YOU dont make money and why YOU dont get night shifts. I dont know your work manner, I dont know your look. When I usually hear girls get told they cant do a night shift? Its because they arent up to the management's standards, looks-wise. I hate to say it, but its just what I see. Is it true in your case? How would I know. But this is the only reasoning I can offer. I suggest looking for another club.

I was reading the thread and waiting for someone to say it. If the other girls are making money and you aren't, it's likely your look or your hustle. A new club won't change that. If this is the case, you need to find the problem and work on it.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
You sound like you have the work ethic to be successful, but it takes more to make big $$.
#1 get hired at the club/shift with the most income potential
#2 You have take control of your customers and learn to sell in the most efficient way (I highly recommend DancerWealth home-study course)
#3 Take care of your looks (maybe you aren't appealing to the widest range of customers that you could be)
Every club has a $$ ceiling based on its format, clientel, and traffic. If everyone in YOUR club is making more $$ than you, the problem is your sales skills and changing clubs will only help you so much. The most successful girls are those with the best sales skills. Alot of dancers give excellent advice in Hustle Hut, which is where I learned most of what I know.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
girlinturrupted said just what I was going to say. If the other clean girls are making a lot more than you, then work on your look and your hustle. I really really recommend dancerwalth.

Never, never be afraid to venture out. In this business, grass is grenner on the other side.
Other side of what? What is anything you wanna make it out to be.
A new working envionment may bring new opportunities, or new problems.
But that is life. And more so this business. Never know, unless you take risks.
Happy hunting. Make that money!!
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I agree, it's either your look or your hustle. Even if your hustle sucks, if you look good you should be making more than that so...I'd suggest a change of looks and a change of clubs. The combo will probably result in a change of attitude, which will result in a change of hustle technique.
I don't know what you look like, but obviously the easiest/ most foolproof thing, if you're caucasian, is to go blond and tan. Hell, even if you're not caucasian. I'd suggest getting a high- end wig.
my $0.02. Can't hurt to try. You probably won't make less.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I might be able to give you a basic management perspective. My family ran restaurants and night clubs, and I grew up working in them and helping manage them.
The best looking girls and the best moneymaking waitresses got the best shifts. Our two best waitresses were a drop-dead-gorgeous blonde with a nice rack, and a lady in her early 60's who was a fantastic sales person. They were both competent waitstaff who made good money for us for different reasons, and they both knew how to maximize their strengths. They consistently sold more food and alchohol per customer, and they each made about twice what the average waitresses were making. So of course they got the best shifts.
Even though at first glance they appeared to be nothing alike, they were more similar than different. What did they have in common? They were both very good at basic serving, they were "people persons" who always smiled even when they were having a bad day, and they had a lot of customer interation. And they both had excellent sales skills.
So ask yourself some questions:
Are you a good dancer? If so, great, if not, how can you improve your dancing skills?
Are you attractive? If so, great, if not, do you need to dress better or lose weight?
Are your sales skills good? If so, great, but if not, should you get sales training?
Do you have a good work ethic? Do you have a good attitude and hustle at work or do you sit back waiting for business to come to you? This is the easiest one to fix.
One last question - If you were management, wouldn't you want to put the workers who maximize dollars per shift on the best shifts?
If you can honestly answer "yes" to all of these questions, you are in the wrong establishment. If there are some "no's", then work to fix them.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Let me join with those recommending the DancerWealth seminar. It pays for itself in a week or two.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
Most girls that work day that want to switch to night pull a bunch of doubles.. they get to know the night manager, DJ, bouncers TIP WELL and end up working nights. Ive never worked a day shift (ok, once i did a double.. i was BORED at home)
That or switch clubs.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I actually started out on dayshift at the club I work at, worked days for 3 months, then asked the night manager if I could switch to nights. I gave a legit reason (school), & he agreed that I had come a long way from when I first started & he had no problem with me switching to nights.
I know some girls may not be as lucky, but my club is also very hard on day girls switching to nights. The day manager said himself, that some day girls don't understand that they were hired for days, with no intentions for them to switch to nights. So, that could be the reason.
Our night manager is extremely intimidating & I was completely surprised when he allowed me to switch to nights.
Honestly though, there are a few girls from days who also want to switch to nights, who he won't allow. & I can honestly tell you, it's because of their appearance. Maybe your club is different, but my manager uses the same excuse, that there are too many girls on nights.
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
I work day too. I am working on my master's degree so it just works out better with my schedule.
Are you constantly smiling? I have so many people tell me how great it is to talk to me because I'm always so happy and cheerful. Even if this is not what you are feeling if you want to make money do it.
Are you wearing flattering outfits? Just b/c you like something doesn't mean guys will. Where something that makes you look different and accentuates your best assets. Some ideas-- Police officer or french maid costume (buy this it WILL make you money), also if you have nice boobe try the fishnet colored tops.
The club I am at now, I had no idea I could make that much money during the day-- go elsewhere, it is hard starting over at a new club but your increased income will make it worth it.
Good Luck Sweetie!!
Re: Been here a year and still no $$ !!!!
it really sounds like this isn't a case of finding a new club if all the other girls are making money.
I've taken the DW class too....good start!
