Re: Preparing for a workfest
Make sure you eat right, sleep right and have a proper work out schedual. It will make a world of difference. Honestly im working 6 nights a week at 6 - 9 hour shifts. Sundays I do a 12 hour. Its not so bad once you get used to it. You just need to make sure to have a balanced life.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
Get rid of the stressful people in your life and cut out/down on the alchohol at work or after work. Good luck hun!
Re: Preparing for a workfest
I work 4-6 days a week on 9 hour shifts. Make sure you get sleep (as much as you can) and don't drink much at work. It takes time to get used to it, but it's not bad for me anymore. You'll be more tired and run-down at first, but you'll get over it and start to love how much more money you're bringing in.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
for me, if I work 5 days a week, the burnout comes real fast. However, if I work 3 or 4 days and do double shifts I find burnout does not come so fast since I will have at least 3 days to recooperate. For me a double would consist of about 10 hours.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
I'm doing my "workfest" now to save for boobs. I've always done 6 nights a week, but now I go in an hour earlier and I force myself to stay on the floor except for a 5min break. That is the hard part for me, but I make it happen because I think of the prize.
It's really easy to stay motivated when you think of what you are working for!
Re: Preparing for a workfest
Get good insoles for your shoes. Try to have a couple of pairs to switch out. If you can stand them, get some slip-ons so you can rest your feet.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
With boots, you can get away with a lower heel. You will also definitely need more sleep.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
I have worked 33 days in a row a while back. (it was based on a dare) I just did the basics everyday,I just eat slept and went to work thats all, like jail almost. I didn't exert no other kind of energy on anything, just the basics.KISS.
Re: Preparing for a workfest
actually, I think I find that I have more energy if I get in a workout every day.
8 hours of sleep is very important. I still have lots of free time. I mean, I'm here, right? :)
