The clientelle has died down almost by half, even with the weather as it has been and winter being the supposed "slow season"...There could be many factors involved with it in my opinion. I think a lof of it has to do with economy, a lot of people aren't making what they used to, hence them not spending as much. Also, strip clubs aren't at all what they used to be as I am told by some of the stripper veterans that I work with (they've been dancing for 15 years+). There are also a lot more clubs out there, some with questionable rules, and some that are dives. The regulars that come in at my club have expressed that the "club" scene is boring, often disappointing, and not entertaining enough...which was not said about the club I work at, but a lot of these men have been out and about to many clubs, it's a generalization.
As a dancer, I used to bring home close to $300 a night at the club I work at now...it's not a nude club, but there are topless dances in the VIP/Champagne...Now my income is half that a night...even if I work eight hours! I've noticed that not as many people come in these past couple of months...I've observed the girls I work with as well as the clientelle. The conclusion I've come to is that there is too much raw hustling, too much "do you want a dance" there is no entertainment in some of these clubs, which seems to put the guys in a bad mood. It makes them feel used sometimes perverted...not to mention some girls get abnormally aggressive, the rate of bad club experiences usually exceeds the good these days, mostly due to desperation. It's a hard living, you really have to have a good regular clientelle built in order to really survive. Also a lot of girls hired aren't really that great, most clubs just hire anyone, and some girls cannot dance to save their lives! Forget pole tricks! LOL...
At the moment I've been considering a new club to work at due to the fact that I need more money. Also it depends on the area inwhich you live in. The clubs towards the city always make more than the suburbian ones, for obvious reasons.
