Photographer looking for models - none nude
I'm not sure where to post this ad so here it is.
I'm a photographer in Indiana. I work freelance for websited called bullz-eye.com
It is not a porn site. I'm looking to hire some models for the site. The pay is $300 for about 3 hours of photo shoot.
So, please check out the site and if you think you fit the profile give me a shout and we'll talk.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude

Well, since you're already a member on www.modelmayhem.com why not post this offer in the forums? ;)

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
I have. I have been getting lot of offers but not all the models are cut out to be featured on the site.

I've never see an ad from you. Since you say the models aren't cut out to be featured on the site, are you posting in the forums specifically what you are looking for?
How do you think an exotic dancer site is going to help you with finding prospective "models" /:O

Cinammon,
You wrote
"I've never see an ad from you. Since you say the models aren't cut out to be featured on the site, are you posting in the forums specifically what you are looking for?"

I think you have some issues with trusting people.
First of all, I did post a casting call and gotten some responses to the add. If you want me to give you the numbers of the models who have responded let me know and I'll be happy to provide it for you so you can ask them your self.
Second, I did not say all the models aren't cut out to be feature models, there are only few I think would fit the site, but altimately it is not up to me since I don't make the final decision, it's my client at bullz-eye who make the decision. I just provide who I think may fit the site. I have asked the models to look at the site and look through the model section to see if they think they fit the profile before replying.
How do I think exotic dancer site is going to help me? Well, lots. I think dancers are very comfortable with their bodies, and most of them are fit and have a nice body. Also, extra money doesn't hurt.
Also, I'm not asking for nude models. The job is at the best implied nude. Mostly thong, lingerie and stuff like that.
Why am I looking all around for models to shoot? Because I get paid to provide photos of models who bullz-eye decides to hire. They pay me to shoot.
So, if you or anyone else have any more inquries about this please let me know. I know that I am new here and if I can answer any more questions, I'll be more then happy to.

But it's this type of statement that quite understandably makes dancers untrusting.
They get people in the club all the time who figure, "They take off their clothes for money, so I bet I can get them to take their clothes off for me to photograph them." But that's quite a difference. Dancers might feel fine about taking off clothes for one paying customer at a time, or maybe a dozen at a time gathered around a stage - but that's far different than going to a private place to take off clothes that results in one's image being available to 3 billion people on the Internet.
Yeah, guys go into clubs all the time to try to harvest models. Unless that guy has some bona fides (portfolio, card, studio, business phone), he quite likely is going to be met with mistrust.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
There are a lot of Dancers that are also Models.
It's always good to network with all audiences in the entertainment biz.
I know, I am ... ;)

Thank you Jay!! You explained perfectly.
Actually Bluematrix, LOL I have never had issues trusting people. I have an issue with GWC's coming onto this site posting about websites, and paying $$$ when no one even knows them.
I'm sorry, but as a MODEL and DANCER I find you somewhat shady. Maybe it's just my problem. But as a photographer I think you should not be having as hard a time as you've had trying to find models for this bullz-eye site. I went to the site, it's not as if the models on there are Playboy material. That is why I asked in my previous post if you explained exactly what type of model you were looking for.
Anyway, I'm tired of going back and forth...Good luck trying to find someone on here, or MM, or musecube to help you with your project.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
Jay,
When I look for models for bullz-eye.com, I am straight up with them that it is for a website. For god sakes, I'm not recruiting models for a porn site. Most, if not all models bullz-eye hire are liking the opportunity of getting paid and having the exposure and getting that experience on their resume. I don't take pictures to post it up on some shady website that models don't know about. Also, I don't have the rights to the photos, bullz-eye.com does. That's the contract models sign when they agree to pose for the site. I think I have a pretty nice portfolio on modelmayhem.com and some other model sites, so if anyone thinks I'm some guy running around trying to get strippers to pose naked for me that's far from the truth.
Cinammon,
Yeah, good idea about stop going back and forth with this bull shit. Hey, I'm sorry that you've never heard of the website, but plenty of other people have. Check out the site history, they've been around for a while. Just because you've never heard of the site, don't put words in everyone else's mouth saying NO ONE has heard of the site.
And yes, it's your problem that you find me shady. Like I said, I don't have a problem finding models to apply, but it's not up to me to make the final decision. I pick out the models based on what I think my client will like and send them models portfolio or website link. They look at it and say yes or no. And trust me, they've turned down quite a few. Maybe not all the models on the site are Playboy material but don't you guys think most of them are above average models?
Yes, you asked me if I've posted exactly what type of models I'm looking for. And my answer was, go to the site and take a look at the models and see if you think you fit the profile. I'm not going to sit there and put out all the exact figure number and hair color and all that.
It just sounds like you've had some bad run ins with some bad people, if that's true then I'm sorry.
I here to find models so I can make money. Yes, bullz-eye.com pays me for each models I provide. So, I'm not here to find models to see their tits or whatever. If I want to do that then I'll just go to a club with some $ and get a private dance instead of going through all this crap.
So, if anyone else find me so shady, then let me know. I'll even give you the contact number for bullz-eye so you can talk to them yourself.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
bluematrix~ I hate to say this, but I think you have left a rather bad impression here! I can't speak for everyone(as you've made very clear) but I know that I wouldn't want to work for you. It is rather unprofessional to cock an attitude with someone, even if they have with you, especially since you are the freakin' photographer! You better learn some better business skills!

All I was doing was explaining to you how and why dancers tend to feel the way they do when hit up for modeling, and suggested what you can do to overcome that. Whether you believe me or not, or take my advice, is certainly up to you. But my observations are what they are, and affirmed by Cinnamon. You can argue and protest. That's fine with me. It won't change their perceptions and experiences of guys hitting them up for shoots.

Hey, I didn't ask for trouble. All I was trying to do was to explain to her what the deal was. I don't know about you but business skills or not, I don't like it when people make quick judgements one something when someone is trying to explain that it is not. I don't know about you but I'll stand up for what I believe in and what's true. If someone was calling you shady and phony and a pervert, I wouldn't expect you to stay down and take it all in.
That's the thing with forums like this is that, it is impossible to read the emotion behind the words written. Just read through the thread in here. I am just trying to answer their questions.
By the way, if you're going to tell me to get a better business skills, it goes the same way for the model, don't you think?
All I was trying to do is to be professional and explain the whole deal and trying to even give reference to people who I've talked with if she had any questions but people are just jumping into conclusion over every word I say.
If you don't want to work with me then I have no problem with it, just don't judge me and call me shady and treat me like a pervert.
So, my apologies if my words seem like I'm cocking a attitude, although it wasn't.

Jay, I appreciate the advise. I think if cinnamon had some problems with photographers or just guys hitting her up for shoots, then she should have explained why she felt that I was not being real. I had no idea why she would go on a attack and put a label on me. I think if someone accused you of something that is not true, I think you'll feel defensive about it, wouldn't you? So, that's all I was doing when I responded. Just trying to explain to her what the deal was.
I decided to post here after a dancer I met through modelmayhem.com referred me here. I don't go to strip clubs. I've only been to it twice in my life time so I have no idea what goes on in those clubs and how girls get hit up by photographers all the time. That is one of the reasons why I thought I'll post a thread in this site, so I can give them information about what they'll be modeling and also they can go to those model websites to check out my profile. I thought that is being pretty professional. If not then I don't know where the hell I went wrong.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
Well, I apologize if I misinterpreted your posts, but I would try harder to make sure that you are not coming across in a rude manner, because it definitely seemed that way to me!

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
As far as what you wrote to Jay, defensiveness does not prove innocence. In fact, most people I have come across, myself included, tend to get very defensive when they are lying or being shady. Usually when you know you are being truthful, you do not have to fight you point to death, but rather just let it go. Maybe that is just me....

Maybe I did beat it to death but it seemed like I had to explain in response to other posts.
Done and over with.

Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
Bluematrix33- Are you going to come to our town? or do we have to come there?
-
Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
I can come to your town if it isn't too far from where I am. Where are you located?
-
Re: Photographer looking for models - none nude
Nope, I'd give this one a wide birth.. as an example I've had "gentlemen" come into where I work and ask me to do Movies, saying they were from vivid video but oh my gosh they cant produce a business card or any other sort of viable proof that will show me they are not scam artists.
Why don't you post links to some of your work, or the web site. It might make your search a little easier. Saying you do something, especially across the net is just a fart in the breeze.
