my PROBLEM with hustle hut
ive noticed in a lot of threads (ie your best advice thread) that alot of people respond and give insight...
which is good but to me its not organized enough... i mean some newbie might read it and take the advice that SOUNDS good to her .. meanwhile that advice came from a 300 dollar a night girl and the newbie thinks its 1500 dollar advice...
or they might take smile and be upbeat advice and try to incoperate it into their routine meanwhile their name is raven they have black hair look gothic and would make more money being evil mysterious and unforgiving...
i wish the advice went like this ... "i always like to use the line who wants a free lap dance when selling 2 for 1s" DISCLAIMER im regular looking average build and i make 800 a night on weekends....
or "im always open with my customer and really honest" DISCLAIMER i make 150 a night and only own inflatable furniture but i dont really care about the money i just work for the attention and to say i have fun
then the confused girls reading the thread would know who to listen to and who not to...
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
^^^ In all honesty I have been a member on this board for almost 3yrs. You can TELL who does well in this industry by reading posts OUTSIDE of hustle hut.
If you are constantly readying thread from dancer X "ranting" about club A, Club B, then trying to travel to XYZ and it still sucks..then yea I'm thinking in my head "hey maybe it's just you babe"
I think its just common sense..There are some dancers on here who give advice to be flirty, playful, etc...but they have that LOOK because they are bubbly blonds. Well last time I checked, I was FAR FROM :P I go with what works for me, and the image I portray at work. I read some of the advice here, and think about actually saying it to a customer...if it doesn't even sound right for my ears, or it isn't my style, I just dont use it.

The problem with the disclaimer as you suggested is that it really doesn't give any useful information. So what if somebody makes $800 a night? If they did that in my club, they would have to be working nonstop and selling dances for $50 a piece (going rate is $10). If they made $800 a night at some clubs, they would go home miserable.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
The beauty behind a site like SW is that people from different backgrounds, experience levels, and skillsets all contribute and most readers can pretty much descriminate which is good advice and which isn't. I'm one of the moderators of this forum specifically because I'm an expert on sales. This being said, there are many times I contribute my advice and many times I don't. There have been many threads where I have opted out of conversation because the conversation was really great on its own merrits. Sometimes I like to contribute because my insight is helpful to others. This philosophy is generally true for almost all the members here and it is this mentality and modality which is what makes this community called Stripperweb thrive. While there have been many times advice given by some members in here is truly bad advice in my opinion, I like to leave it anyway and not correct it because it winds up eventually spawning healthy debate and good conversation that eventually leads to a place where everyone learns something. That's why, in my opinion, that having different points of view from the high income earners and lower income earners alike is, many times, equally valuable.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
Unlike DancerWealth I do not purport to be an expert in sales. I have my bad nights just like anyone else it is just that I feel I have learnt alot thanks to my time in this business and try to be of assistance where I can. I only contribute when I feel that the information I am going to give is of any value.
There is a saying which is true:
Knowledge is power ... applied knowledge is gold.
What this means is that the only way you can find out if the knowledge you have gained from Hustle Hut is of any good use is to use it... if it works.. it is gold.. if it doesn't... then so be it.
Not everything works for everybody. A good example is those dancers who thrive on a busy club (hit n run/one off dances) compared to dancers who thrive on slower nights (repeat dances).
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
Am I missing something here? Was the original post erased?
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
I actually started the thread being discussed. We have been using the advice and posting a different hint each week, of course credited and linked to stripperweb, in our dressing room, as we have a bunch of girls who really have a lot to learn about the industry. Its a way for our head girl to get 'advice' across to specific girls (ie about hygiene matters) with out been bitchy or attacking.
I feel that EVERYONE who has worked in/patronised/owned a SC has something to add, and found all the advice fantastic.
OP, of course if you are "gothy" being a chirpy cheerleader wont work, but if the girls are willing to experiment with this advice, than they are becoming more dynamic and better performers.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
well, take the advice with a grain of salt. I saw someone's number one advice is to never say you have a boyfriend. Well, I mention it when I have one and do just as well as when I don't, so I don't see the harm.
I guess the best person to ask for advice is from the girl at your club that you admire the most.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
Folks, its just a message board. Its primary benefit is to help network dancers and to exchange ideas on how to become a better one. While there are some constants, in the end there is really no textbook way to sell a lap dance. What will work in certain situations/in certain clubs/on certain customers/for certain dancers may fail or outright backfire in others. HH was never meant to be a "how to" book. Nothing on these webpages should be interpreted as gospel.
To be truthful, there are a lot of other variables in determining what a dancer takes home than her hustling skills, therefore I see no practicality in anyone having to disclaim actual dollar amounts of what they make to prove the benefit of their stated advice. People tend to exaggerate about those sort of things anyway.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
It seems to me its rare that anyone offers really poor advice and goes unchallenged. The debate is what makes this such a healthy site.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
I think that someone who knows what they are doing can figure out what the good advice is over the lackluster advice.
But then again, they don't really need the advice to begin with i guess. But it is nice to discuss strategies.
Husting is all about finding what WORKS best for you.... If you can't tell who has the best advice, keep trying suggestions until you find what works best.
Re: my PROBLEM with hustle hut
If you cannot find help on this site, you aren't looking hard enough.
I'm sure I could figure out how to change the tranny on my 81 delorean if I asked...
