Everytime I ask someone how hold you have to be to strip they say 18 to be nude and 21 to wear a bikini, am I reading it wrong or is that actually the law? It seems so bizarre and twisted.

I believe that most nude clubs do not sell alcohol, so you only have to be 18. However, topless clubs do sell alcohol, so you need to be 21.
Hope this helps,

Thats because most clubs that serve alcohol/21 and older are topless or bikini. Clubs that are nude (18 and up) are different. You seem to not really understand much about dancing. I would advise you to go to a few different clubs as a visitor and check them out, ask questions, see what they wear, etc... :) Good luck!
It depends on the city/state also. I work in a club in Wisconsin that is full nude and serves alcohol, and you only have to be 18 to work there (you just can't drink).
Our topless clubs ,even the 21 and up ones, only require you to be 19 to dance..
Yeah, that's our weird AZ crap. For some reason you only have to be 19 to handle alcohol here.Quote:

in some states you can be under 21 and still dance even though you couldnt be a customer of the club... weird, huh?
^^^^Thats what Im thinking! I wouldn't even be able to be a customer at any of my clubs yet!
This situation arises from the 'conflict' of two different laws. Labor law says that if you are 18 you are old enough to work. On the other hand, state alcohol laws say that 'customers' in an establishment which serves alcohol to the public must be 21. Thus by the letter of the law it is legal for girls who are over 18 but under 21 to work in establishments which serve alcohol to the public. However, if girls who are under 21 wind up in the role of being a 'customer' for the alcohol served in the public establishment, then the owner of the establishment finds himself at a huge risk of being busted for allowing 'underage patrons' and having his liquor license lifted.Quote:

Most clubowners realise that if they are running a topless alcohol club, and where customers buying drinks for dancers is an integral part of the club's business model, that employing dancers who are under 21 poses risk at both ends of the spectrum. Either the under 21 dancers are going to be served drinks bought by club customers (thus exposing the clubowner to a risk of being busted), or the under 21 dancers must be kept track of - the club's bar must refuse to serve them - and the under 21 dancer and/or bartender must explain to each and every customer why they can buy a drink for dancer X (who is over 21) while they can't buy a drink for dancer Y (who is under 21).
Because under 21 dancers working in topless alcohol clubs pose these complications for clubowners, in areas where there are plenty of hot willing dancers over 21 the clubowners generally avoid the issue altogether and simply refuse to hire any dancers who are under 21. In areas where hot willing dancers are hard to come by, clubowners may 'take the extra risk' and hire under 21 dancers.
