Hey
Im still working WTF> How do you beat that attitude out of them?!
I wouldn't ever tell you to change who you are but occassionally changing your look to see what the outcome might be doesn't hurt.
Hey, Sinn...
What?! Biggins is a tough place to work?? No!
LOL, sorry, I couldn't resist, lol...
Not everyone in Daytona who makes money does it by giving HJs--though it is a lot harder to make as much if you don't. I'm not going to suggest you come work with me, it ain't your kind of place (don't say the name of the club in your reply, sweetheart, please)--but maybe you should try Lollipops, even if it is a 'factory' club.
Not everyone there gives HJs, either--and though they won't play your music they do play a lot of good rock.
Until they get rid of "DJ Smooth" (Right! What a joke...), Biggins will never go anywhere, and you'll be stuck with a bad situation.
You are a real pleasure to work with, and trust me--you deserve better.
Yikes!
Basically you're making about $5.50/hr. Have you ever considered going and getting a real job. Such as working for a temporary agency...:-\Quote:

The other girls where I work do it. Someone just offered me a NICE condo last night, rent free. It's a tempting offer. I would date him if I wasn't dancing (I met him shortly before I started), but I don't even have time to date anyway. The girls that I work with think I'm crazy. I just can't take advantage of someone's generosity.Quote:

When I got off my stage rotation, our top stage performer got on his stage, so I went and gave him a buck and told him "If you're not going to spend any money here, at least take this dollar and tip that girl. She's our hardest worker, and really deserves it."
The asshole pocketed my money after I walked away and watched him. I was livid to say the least.
Getting guys to tip can be tough around here.
I used to work at this place, and it took me a whole f*cking year to get it going. DJ Smooth, naturally, blames me for the rapid and total decline after I left, lol...
The one thing I have found that works (about 50% of the time, at least) is to have a girl tip the girl onstage and have the DJ (me, lol) make a big fuss over them--then say "Guys, don't be shy, go on up there with a dollar of your own!"
Sinn, you can gat a friend who works there to tip you, then you tip her back with the same f*cking dollar--back and forth all night. It won't cost you a thing, and it'll get their attention!
I'm not necessarily an 'expert', but I do have 6 years experience, and I know this can work--do it, girl.
It's not because at the other clubs girls offer extras that this means you won't make money even if you don't offer extra. I did work in a club where I must have been the only girl that wasn't offering any extras I wouldn't even go in the champagne rooms and still made alot of money.
Yes i know the HJ comment was a lil out of line. I simply meant that the competion in other clubs is rising more every day due to extra type of dancing. Certainly not what it was here just a few years ago.
Weve had all kinds of nice gilrs in this club. It's not my image in question it is the image of the club and the envronment. Changing my looks would be great if i could afford it at least. Im still dancing in the same busted up boots ive had for 3yrs. Cant afford to splurge on accessories either. I spend my money on cab fare, mostly.Quote:

it was neither you nor Smooth that are to blame for the decline of Biggins. This club was in its heyday when BOTH of you were working together :P Girls used to average 150-300 per night. Remember Destiny? Vanessa? Patty? there all gone. thats what made that place, you know. Nice people.Quote:

You know who to blame it on now.. the management, who has no idea how to run a buisness.
We now have 5 girls to work the night shift. total.
OMG I would have kicked him in the ass as he walked away. To bad you couldnt spill his drink on em by accident LOL.Quote:

Sunday night this guy walkes up to the stage and takes out his wallet. Sifts around in it for a moment as if looking. then walks away. Or that guy who pretends to hand you a dollar and snatches it away
Uh. No. Im a dancer and should be PAID as such. but the thougt did cross my mind.Quote:

Thanks guys!!!
If someone is being generous then I don't see that you are neccesarily 'taking advantage'... however, offering you a rent-free condo doesn't sound like generosity, it sounds like a controlling move. Giving you a pile of money to get a condo with, that would be generosity....Quote:

It was shortly after that I got fired--possibly because there was no longer a need to keep me there even two nights a week for fear of losing dancers.
Are there still microphone pick-ups in the DJ booth and the dressing room, do you know? Be careful what you say in there!
But enough of this sh*t...
Dealing with the Daytona guys can be tough, that's for sure--I've got the same problem where I work, though it does seem to be improving of late.
Later--note to moderators--don't worry, Sinn and I aren't going to fight about this, lol--I just called her up and made sure of that. She is a real sweetheart, one of my all-time faves, and wore her title "The Dark Angel" quite well indeed.
I agree with cinammon. If you can't work in another club and all you're making consistently is $200/week I'd just find a completely different job. You couldn't do any worse! That really sucks!
Find a club that brings in out of town customers.
What kind of paranoid manager would bug his employees?!
Yeah, you should be paid as such, but if the situation is so bad that you're not, take another job! At least then you'll have enough to get a car. There is no way in hell you should be stripping for minimum wage.
This one did, lol--and towards the end, when things really started getting bad, I would say to customers I liked "look, see that spot right there? There's a microphone there." And then BANG, I'd beat the wall there, really hard. Needless to say, I didn't last much longer after that, lol.Quote:

Whatever...
You are such a sweetheart, and look so good in those black boots, I know you can make money without having to do HJs, even in Daytona. I think you shopuld listen to these women of experience and either try somewhere else (at least for season) or get another job. You deserve much, much more than you are making.

Thats a whole other issue. Now theres a system set up with camera and microphone IN the dressing room. He claims its for evidence in case of theft, yet they use the same tape over and over.
Oh well. where there is a will there is a way. There was actually buisness tonight at the club, and i tried real hard to get ppl to participate. Im going to work on tecniques to get the club going. Thanks for stopping in last nite and giving me a pep talk Djoser. YOU ROCK
It was great to see you, and Alexandria too! As soon as things settle down in this condo you are both going to be coming to visit me, that's for sure.
Yeah, I was always suspicious about the whole dressing room video thing. most clubs have them to keep drug use in check--but I'd bet anything Gene takes them home with him, lolololol.
You might want to check the internet for voyeur type video offerings--you might be a star and not even know it!
Well seriously. Its either that or make your $200 a week working at Starbucks (they pay more than min wage and have benefits for part timers as well as full)Quote:

Why are you so persistant that you CANNOT work somewhere else? You CAN - you choose not to. YOU choose this club so you need to either figure out a way to dance somewhere else, get another job or just stay there and stop bitching about making $200 a week...
You put yourself in this situation and you can figure a way out... no one can do it for you. It may be hard but you can do it :)
I agree with Audrey... get the hell out of there. For a long time, I refused to leave my small club too, mostly because I'm not a "10" and was afraid to audition anywhere else. I'm SO GLAD I did. The club I'm working at is just as small but WAY more fun and easy-going, and I just got hired to work dayshifts at a big club.
On the other hand, if you're determined to stay, I want to say that at my old club many of the girls did extras, although certainly not all. It's important to remember that not every custy wants or can afford an extra. Sure, it would be nice to have a HJ, but does every guy have 100s of dollars to spend on one? Hit up the out-of-towners, the "nice guys," and take into account that every city has it's flux and flow. Right now in SF the money is crap. In a few weeks, it should be better.
Oh, and I'd worry less about the stage tipping. Most girls I know make only enough money on stage to cover their house fees, if that. Your bad attitude about it -- and believe me, I've certainly spent time badgering custys into tipping -- will only cost you dances, even from nice guys because they want to have fun with a fun, happy girl. At our club, all the girls will ask or gently remind a guy we're having a drink with to tip the girl onstage, and that gets the $ flowing...usually when its flowing, eventually it gains momentum and the guys need less prompting But if that doesn't work at your club, I'd try to blow off the free-show thing as well as you can and get those lapdances. Think of your stage show as a promo for the private dance.

Yep. Thats what i did last night. I was on stage 5 times. I only took my top off once for one song, because a custy gave me a 5$ tip. Ive been doing this lately and its been working to help sell dances LOL.
I might not be able to change the club but i shure can change how I react to the situations in the club. It just forces me to work harder, try new angles and not give in.
}:D Im doin an internet search right now. Whats a good search word? Stripclub voyur? Sigh.Quote:

This leads into a whole other subject of men with thier cell-phone cameras commin in and taping dances underneath the table. Just a question, do we have the right to smash thier phone? LOL, JK
If i caught someone taping my bootie i would get the doorman to make them erase it off there phone, then they get kicked out.
Is there a stripper chat channel here?? there shoud be
:shocking: :shocking: :shocking:Quote:

Do you have a dollar for me to give her?" Usually the girl and I will do a little show when I tip her, so the guy "gets something" for his money. This can wind up with him tipping you to keep tipping her, which is good for everybody. Plus, it makes you look nice, and helps to sell private dances.
That's what I'm talkin about!Quote:

Sinn there is a chat room here, you know. You can find it by clicking "chat" at the top of any StripperWeb page. Maybe I'll see you there, if I don't see you in person again first, lol...
You literally took the words out of my mouth. I actually ran the numbers on a calculator before I saw your post. $200.00 a week for 36 hours worth of work is insane. You might want to consider other work which will require less stress and more clothes.Quote:

The only way to make money around here is to start your own business (and I can think of much better locations for that, too, lol). Now that things appear to be stabilizing at my club, I'm gonna get back into the drawings a bit more.
But I digress...
