multiple air dances tip
There are a couple of quirks with dancing in Portland (actually these aren't problems at all -- I don't know if I could dance in another state!)... mainly, all dances are air dances and if you have removed any clothing, then it's definitely illegal for them to touch you. This means that even though I can get several guys in the private area for a song or two, they really won't stay for more than that (which is usually ok with me -- at the place I work, we're on for two-three songs, off for six, meaning I can get about five songs max from a guy).
I've figure out a way to extend the amount of time that a guy spends in the dance area. When we first get in there, I spend about half a song just looking them in the eyes and giving them a hand massage or a neck massage, ask them how their evening is going, etc. They're always surprised by this but always enjoy it. Then I gently move away from them and start dancing... but within one song I've barely started removing my clothes. Since they're so physically pleasured and relaxed already, they're not going to want to cut things off now! (I pout and say something like, "I'm just getting started... can I keep playing for you?")
This gets them to stay in there for those 3-5 songs that are usually harder for me to sell. Also, if I have a bit of time before my next set and they've been treating me well, I'll do something like sit at the rack with them while giving them a very light neck massage -- that's half a song, and I'm guaranteed a flashy stage tip right off the bat!
In addition, since this is PDX, the guys never even try anything. They sometimes say something like, "Oh, I sure wish I could return the favor", but they never think that it's an invitation for them to touch me. I always just say that I wish they could touch me, too!
Thanks to Colleen for first mentioning the power of massages!
(note: PLEASE let me know if there is something glaringly illegal about this. I believe I've found an entertaining way to keep guys in the private dance area that is within the law, and definitely should be corrected if it's not.)
