Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
What's going on in Europe? I'm looking for new clubs and new ideas...
So far I've been working for 8 years as a dancer...now I wanna try something new...Learn something new!
I need something thats gonna SURPRISE me... cause lets face it there isn't much that does anymore!
And I've heard tonnes of chat about america and oz but what about europe... Greece for one...i'm living here and i'm having a ball but it seems that i'm about the only one who has discovered it!
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
I've been hearing some good stuff about dancing in Greece. A few girls I used to work with abroad (a blond girl and a black girl) recommended it to me. Personally, if I had the time to travel I would but unfortunately I've had to put it off for such a long time until I get other things pinned down.
How is it anyway? Where are you working? There was a girl on this board, NaomiSantos I think her name was, who worked at Diamonds and Pearls and she was always talking about how great it was (I think she was a co-owner though).
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
Lol...yeah that sounds familiar... Diamonds looks great but I've heard that the management suck...but don't quote me on that.
I've been in there a few times for fun with my b/f and I know some of the girls there too who I used to work with.
The best place for me on Crete was La Mour... it's such a cozy place and the bosses really look after you! It's not so easy to get in there though anymore though...they really started going up the last 6months or so.
I'm looking into a place in thessaloniki now, Caligula,... i got some nice pics and the pay looks good but i need some more info... any ideas?

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
a major reason why european clubs are seldom discussed here is that the majority of posters on this BBS are residents of countries which are not part of the EU. As such, we face major obstacles in regard to obtaining EU work visas necessary to work in clubs in EU countries.
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
Is it really THAT difficult to get over here?
Ok, I was born in south africa but raised in England...so with those two on my passport I can go anywhere...literally!
I've helped a few ppl get visa's from places like hungary and australia but USA is not something i've spent much time on.
Although I do have a friend who works in Miami...maybe I should have a chat with her. :O

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
no it's not difficult for Americans or Canadians or Aussies to get to Europe ... as a visitor/tourist. However since 9/11 it is slightly more difficult than childbirth for American girls to obtain a EU country work visa so that they can legally work in a club once you get there. In order to do this, from a practical standpoint, they have to travel to europe as a tourist ... they have to audition at a club and be 'hired' ... the clubowner then has to sponsor their work visa ... and the local gov't has to issue it. Unfortunately this typically takes several weeks of bureaucratic delays, during which time the girl must keep shelling out for hotel bills and living expenses without an income.
The flip side of course is that some clubowners will allow 'foreign' girls to work illegally. However, as in the USA, clubs that have disregard for some laws typically have equal disregard for other laws as well. And if a non-EU girl is caught breaking some other laws on top of working illegally in an EU country, the possibilities can be unpleasant to say the least. Obviously getting busted in the UK is a whole lot better experience than getting busted in Greece.
Of course there are two sides of the street. If you were to come to Florida you'd find yourself in the same situation in regard to obtaining a work visa to legally work in Florida clubs. And undoubtedly some Florida clubs would hire you without a work visa, but also expect you to 'bend' some other laws once you started working (which is a non-issue of sorts since Florida clubs often expect American dancers to 'bend' the law too!). If there is a bright side, the worst that will happen to any 'foreign' girl busted for working illegally in the USA is a free plane ticket home (and a tightly locked door in regard to ever coming back to visit).

That's an interesting observation Melonie.
Why is it that people in the EU (for the most part) ignore Stripperweb?? Is it cultural, or are they caught up in their own world?? The Aussies and Canadians (of which I am one) sure enjoy hanging out here!
I expect the answer to this to be quite interesting/entertaining...
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
I'm thinking there might be a language barrier for many European strippers. I also imagine some find this site less interesting because it is so USA-centric. Maybe there are other similar sites based in Europe?

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
As a student, it is a bit easier for Americans to work in clubs in Europe...on my visa it says, "Not authorized to work without provisional authorization to work" (wtf?!?!lol) but as a student one can generally work up to 20hrs/week. When I was here in France before, I met with an agent who said that I could use my student visa while here. Once I'm settled in and fully registered for second semester out here, I will try it out and see what happens! Also, there are work visas available through BUNAC (www.bunac.org) for australia, uk, ireland, canada new zealand for american students...

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
I write stuff for a web site on Europe www.strip-magazine.com , there are clubs in every European country but you must be careful as in places like Spain they are usually brothels. Unlike the earlier posters I have not heard anything very good about Greece either. I don't know why more don't post here especially since Mypole shut down.
There are less US and Canadian girls working in London now than in the 1980s, I don't know why. It may be the visas though another thing I was told was that the Canadian clubs would not employ anybody over 25 then so once they hit that age many used to come to the UK !

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
Yes Tyke, you'r right, there are bad things going on in Greece...and in spain...AND italy AND uk AND everywhere else in the world!!! What makes the US so different?
NOTHING!
The trick is to find the RIGHT places... I know someone who works in spain and she thinks it's the best run club around...
I have worked in Greece and I have also visited some other clubs in the area and yes, some are bad but the others are actually pretty good!
The trick is to find the right contact.. If you go through some Overrated agency who are only in it for the money, they aren't gonna give a S*** where you end up as long as they get their money...
This is why I study clubs, reviews (from clients & specially the girls), I've even checked out the accounts from some..which, i dont know about other countries, but most around europe is public record if you have a company. Which by the way is not so hard to achieve.
Doing your homework WELL is very important if you want to have FUN as well as a descent income while stripping!
And as for the strip-magazine, which i spend alot of time on, and i think it's great for info... But even they have to double check things sometimes.
I saw a column on someone i worked with & knew very well...AND got screwed over by......and whoever wrote that really got sucked in by his amazing pecs!!! All the 'supposed' things he 'claims' to have done...COMPLETE RUBBISH!!! I practically lived with the guy...I should know!

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
Well, as a dancer who has worked in the USA and Europe (and Canada, of course), I'll give another reason why girls here are less likely to want to dance in Europe: competition.
As in, I have to work WAY harder for my $$, currency exchange included, when I'm competing against Russian/Brazilian girls who do more for less, often offer OTC meetings, and are freakin' hot.
I've danced in 4 European countries (Scotland, England, Italy and Belgium), both prior to, during and after the EU opened up, and I can say with certainty that it's changed- it's harder to make 'clean' money since the influx of Russian and Brazilian girls (not impossible, just harder).
By contrast, it is much harder for non US (or non-North American, I should say }:D ) girls to work in the US and Canada, and as such we haven't had the problem of "hot girls who will do lots for dirt cheap" driving our incomes down.
North America is a much better bet for my time and money.
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
See this is where 'class' comes in....
If you want to make money, you gotta attract the right clientel...and believe me, the rich BUSINESS men dont appreciate you rubbing them up...no matter how hot you are!
You don't even have to TALK to the guy to make him want you...And pay for you! With the right attitude, your pose, your walk, and especially your eyes can get the right guy paying the right price for very little.
I'll be totally honest here, not aiming this to anyone in particular, but if you really have to worry about THAT kind of competition it's not even worth the thought of europe, you don't have the right class!
I've been working in clubs like this alot and i know that there are some stunning girls giving it away but i've also been working for a LONG enough time to see that their way of working doesn't last long! having class and keeping your self respect lasts... well.. it's timeless!!!
please...correct me if i'm wrong....

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
You're wrong. "Classy" girls end up starving while "assy" girls take the customers. It doesn't matter how much money a man still has, he is still a man, and thus trying to sniff every butt that saunters along.

Of course...it must be...my lack of class!
::)
Oh yeah, another thing...for North American girls, there's also the fact that many Europeans dislike/are contemptuous of Americans. Everytime I've been there I would literally be dismissed the second my mouth opened unless I
a) said the words "I'm Canadian" within my first sentence
or b) faked an Irish accent (Canadian and Irish accents are quite similar to a drunken Englishman/Scandinavian).
Deny all you want! I've experienced this first hand many many times... I think it's crap, and I WANT people to make asses of themselves, so I'm not one of the people with a Canadian flag on my backpack...it is, however, amusing to literally watch people's perceptions of me shift when they find out I'm Canadian and not American.
Hard to make money when you start off at a disadvantage.
Don't get me wrong- I've always done well in Europe- but for the amount of hassle involved, it's never been worth it (for me). Others might thrive in Europe- so far, that there continent is jist too classy fer me.

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
The thing about Spain is that most clubs are not just like brothels, they are brothels with rooms etc at the back or upstairs. The UK has some dodgy clubs but none I have come across that are openly brothels. Not that I have anything against brothels so long as girls know what they are getting into. The climate in parts of Europe is very different to the UK/US , as an example look at this re Germany,

Germany backs bigger brothels to fight World Cup sex explosion
By Tony Paterson in Berlin
Published: 09 December 2005
It is only a short bus ride from Germany's main World Cup stadium and
it
boasts a Turkish bath, two saunas, two cinemas and up to 100
prostitutes
offering round-the-clock sex.
Europe's biggest brothel, which opened in Berlin only two months ago,
is
Germany's latest answer to the invasion of "sex-workers", who are
expected
to flood the country next year to cater for male soccer fans.
Predictions suggest that up to three million fans will visit a
prostitute at
least once during the World Cup. The event's organisers are expecting
at
least 40,000 prostitutes to descend on Germany from throughout Europe
to
meet demand.
Artemis, the four-storey brothel located a mile and a half from
Berlin's
Olympic stadium, is an attempt bring the sex trade explosion under
control
in a country where prostitution is both legal and widespread.
From the outside, the EUR5m (£3.4m) "etablissement" resembles a
luxury hotel
tucked away on an industrial estate. Yet close up, the decorative
balloon
flying from the roof turns out to be a giant phallus. Inside, a
handful of
middle-aged punters were last week paying EUR40 each for a locker,
bathrobe
and access to the brothel's bars, whirlpools, massage parlours,
cinemas and
46 suites decked out with mock zebra-skin bed covers, mirrors and
bacchanalian pictures. Yet the sex itself costs extra.
Norman Jacob, a lawyer and spokesman for Artemis, says the brothel
cuts out
prostitutes' traditional reliance on pimps and virtually eliminates
the
chances of illegal eastern European "sex slaves" being employed on the
premises. "All the girls here have to provide a tax number and proof
of
permission to work in the EU," he said. "They pay a EUR70 entrance
fee, but
they are free to negotiate the cost of their services with each
client,
whichallows them to keep all the profits."
Xenia, one of the prostitutes, said the system worked in her
favour. "I used
to pay between 20 and 50 per cent of my takings to my organiser. Here
I can
keep the lot," she said.
Mega-brothels such as Artemis are being encouraged by the authorities
as a
means of combating illegal prostitutionduring the World Cup. Renate
Schmidt,
the outgoing family affairs minister, recently wrote to the German
Football
Association demanding it "rally behind police and the authorities to
combat
forced prostitution and people-trafficking".
Cologne, one of 11 other Germancities hosting World Cup games, has
followed
Berlin and erected policed "sex garages" on the city's fringes. Each
offers
rudimentary facilities for prostitutes and their clients such as
condom and
snack vending machines . Similar plans are underway in Munich, where
police
predict the number of prostitutes is likely to rise 30 per cent.
"We don't want to destroy legitimate businesses, but we aim to root
out the
sex slaves who are being brought here," said Gottfried Schlicht, a
Munich
police spokesman.
But women's groups, church leaders and trade unionists remain
concerned
about an influx of sex slaves. The Women's Council is planning to
protest
outside soccer stadiums to warn fans. "We want to alert men to this
problem," said a spokeswoman. "During the World Cup all forms of
sexual
exploitation must be shown the red card."

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
Hello
Angelique i just found your site and emailed you with no reply. Could you please answer some questions i have. are you an a dancer or an agent?
If you still are a dancer where are you dancing now and how long have you been dancing there? How do you get paid when you book dancers?
I see which cities you book and have you had experience working in these clubs yourself, are you completly aware of what is going on there etc...
I am very interested in working with you but have recieved no reply.
I am just wondering if you have known these club owners from when you worked there or if you are an actual booking agent.
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
I have to second what Scarlett says about the European contempt for Americans. When I lived in London I experienced alot of it. Ex: I would be out with friends, guys would approach to flirt with me, and as soon as I opened my mouth their expressions dropped and they were gone. All because they heard my American accent. I knew one American guy over there who told everyone he was Canadian because he got tired of being dissed so much due to his nationality. A friend of mine got bitched out by her brother (in front of me) for picking up some of my American slang. People can say all they want about Americans being rude to foreigners, but I'm here to tell ya it happens in reverse just as much if not more.
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
B, that's a shame that happened to you, because in my experience of working with US dancers, they have gotten very nice receptions from customers, mainly because they are American. They work hard, they get respected and some custies even adore the accent. But I guess that might depend on demographics. I don't live nor work in London.
I've heard London can be very discriminatory to people from outside of the city and that even goes for non-London British. However, I'm lucky as I've never experienced it personally.
-
Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
London is very multinational these days plus there are millions of tourists in the summer. There are some wankers who are anti American but there are others who are anti French or don't like Eastern Eiropeans or are fed up with Brazilians. I suspect New York is very similar.

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
My experience with CUSTOMERS in London was fucken fantastic! I did well with the English, Irish and European/middle eastern travellers in the club. The few American tourists of course wanted nothing to do with me - they only like me when they're in the states I guess ::)
My negative experiences were all OTC and mostly coming from other Europeans/middle easterners. I also forgot to mention some jerkoff Euro tourists called me a Dirty American a couple times in Piccadilly Circus - only because they heard me talking to my girlfriends on the street! They just yelled it out at me as they walked by :O I've been to a whole lot of places and never experienced that kind of thing anywhere else...
I know London is a very multinational city; that's one of the things I liked most! The English folks were generally very friendly to me. Especially the boys ;D

Re: Has Everyone forgot about Europe?
I think it's really a shame...do ppl over here REALLY act like that?
I really love working with girls from America! The sense of humor is great, and they know what they're doing mostly! I have 2 really good friends in belgium, one is from canada and the other from Texas! And they were the best choice i ever made for friends!
I guess i've been lucky in that way...you could say i don't really have a nationality as such. I was born in south africa, raised in Uk, and have been travelling ever since...so when i chat to customers i can tell them whatever they want to hear.
Anyway i think there should be MORE american dancers in europe...it would liven things up. and they are far more classy! and besides...that really would scare away all the skanks! i think if you want to sit on his dick...you know where the corner is!

Yes they do. Not to say it was a majority, and I most certainly had plenty of friends and going out buddies, but I dealt with some kind of anti-American crap over there every single day. I didn't let it get to me and I loved living there; would've stayed if I could! But the point of my mentioning this was that along with a few other reasons, this may be one example of why we don't get many Europeans posting here. Language, cultural, social and attitude differences...

Born in Sweden. Family in Sweden. Danced Sweden!!! The only difference i see see over there (i only danced Sweden, gf still does) is the best club is also selling sex in the back rooms. Too much competetion. I will dance for a guy, but i am not going to a room with him for more money after. And the ladies that (many) work the club also escort. They are very open about it.
Here it's more laid back. You know in a 'nice' club your not going to have a guy want to buy you for hours of sexual play, and sex in a hot tub or bed!
I love Europe! It's my home. But i live in the states. We have more restrictions (maybe not enforced well enough) and less cometetion.
major earnings at Club Royale!!!! I love Swedish men and women. Hell i love European people ALOT!!!! We are not scum. We are taught to enjoy and love our sexuality.....People are too fucking uptight over here imo.
