first night sucked
I danced for the first time last night and it was terrible. I only got 3 private dances and after tip out I made only $30 dollars. I don't know how the hustle works to get dances, and I don't want to have to beg these perverts for a dance. I need the money and want to learn the business. some one please help me.

Re: first night sucked
Hey dont feel so bad hunnie. It was only You'r frist night. You wanna know how many dances I got on my frist night? Only 2.... Now i make up to $500 a night. Just remember to be confident and when you talk to them make them feel specail and wanted :). But don't give up. I never am I'm glad I didn't and so will You. For some ppl it comes natural and others it takes time but don't worry give it time and You'll be find. I bet in a week You'll even notice a difference.
BTW how much money did you have to tip out to the club over all?

Re: first night sucked
thanks for the support, the total tip out is about 41% of your earnings. Its a hell of a lot to have to tip out, but I checked out and that is about what all the clubs do in LA.

Re: first night sucked
Wow thats nutts at my club I only have to tip the dj 5 bucks on ever $100 I make. The only time we have to tip the bouncers is when someone trys to rip us off and the bouncer gets the money for us then we give them hafe of them.
But don't give up sweetie.... Are You going back to work?

Re: first night sucked
Thats LA for ya (assuming youre talking about los angeles). Dont expect much in LA. Sounds like you work for a Deja Vu chain. They always take an S-load of money. I would say stick it out at this club and go club shopping in the meantime to find a club that suits you.

Re: first night sucked
wait, the tip out is standard at 41%, or is that what you ended up tipping out because you didn't make a lot?
I have not heard much good about SoCal clubs....that's sad!
-
Re: first night sucked
Yes i'm going to go back to work at the club to gain experience and to try to learn the business, and yes 41% is what you pay out every night. It is a spearment rhino chain.

Re: first night sucked
wow...all I have to say is sorry. that, and THAT BLOWS!
At the Crazy Horse Too Philly, you get to keep all your lap dance and champagne room money (crazy talk, I know!) and you only have to tip out 15%, which doesn't include housemom and DJ, but there is no mandatory minimum for them.
Also, there is no housefee, but that will probably change soon (new club - not enough girls.)
Anyway, I know this club payouts are set up the same way in Las Vegas, so maybe trips out there will be better for you.

Re: first night sucked
Damn, too bad I don't live closer to Philly at this time.

Re: first night sucked
As long as I can help it, I vow never to work in a commission based club. It will really eat into your earnings. Try and find a good club that asks for a flat out house fee intead. On those good nights, you are keeping a very decent cut of your hard earned cash.
Also about the hustling - don't worry too much, I only made ~£60 on my first night dancing and I sucked at hustling - I mean SUCKED for ages! If I knew sites like SW existed before, I think I would have gotten off to a better start. Read the hustle hut and other parts of the forum to help you out.
Good luck.

Re: first night sucked
Not ALL clubs are DejaVu clubs (which yours is) May want to go check out some others. Pick up the dancer newspaper - it has every SC in LA listed it. Your club probably has it there...

Re: first night sucked
Three words: Read Hustle Hut.
As for high tip-outs, generally speaking the clubs in Brisbane are commission-based and high tip-outs. The club I'm about to go to in Darwin is 50/50 however they pay for one-way airfare and give you a base fee each week (if you do a 2 week contract). There is a club here at home which takes 45% last time I checked plus half of all dance tips (you keep any stage tips).
Regardless, you can still make decent money at commission clubs. Read Hustle Hut.

Re: first night sucked
Wanna talk about horrible. . . I had to pay 60$ for a driver to bring me to the club + a 50$ house fee. That was my first night. . .there was a total of 5 clients in the bar the whole time, no one was dancing on stage and the guys weren't buying dances. I only made 60$ that night. Thank god I had a friend (who is also a fellow dancer) work at the same club as me that night. If not, I don't even want to think of what could have happened.

Re: first night sucked
Then again. . . it all gets better

Re: first night sucked
Yea, sometimes it is very easy to get discouraged... especially when you are the new girl surrounded by the pros who are getting dances left and right. That is how it was for me. Actually, I was not afraid of the stage, but the hustling was brutal because I was always the shy type who never approached men in general(still am.) Do not feel bad because I hardly made anything for the first few MONTHS...not saying that will happen to you... but it does take time for some people, but once you start getting into it... you will not be sorry! My number one tip would be to make sure you always feel as best you can. Do anything you can to raise your confidence levels...this is the only way i can usually make good money. Good luck!

Is it the Blue Zebra?
The nude SRhinos really rape the girls' pocketbook. I'd find a new club, not all nude soCal clubs are like that. Check out Private Dancer Magazine for club listings.
