Re: Western Massachusetts
the entire area of western MA and capital district of NY is pretty anemic in regard to club earinings potential.
Re: Western Massachusetts
I went to college in western MA and I remember going to Anthony's....that place was kind of dumpy. There really wasn't more than that around. MA is a difficult state to dance in since they are so strict and it's so easy to go to another state. Plus who are your clientel? COLLEGE KIDS!
I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I am sure that it's the same club you were talking about.
Re: Western Massachusetts
Are you talking Sprinfield area when you say western Mass or Worcester? I don't know of any clubs further west than Springfield where Mardi Gras seems to be the best money.
Re: Western Massachusetts
mardi gras, centerstage, Castaways, and magic lantern. Im not a fan of anthony's.
Mardi gras is where you will make your most money, but it is upscale, and pretty cut throat from my experience. one of the managers is a total dick. i miss lisa! :( wahh. enough-
Centerstage, lovvve this club. know the right people and it's a laid back, type of place. the girls arent that catty, staff is nice, ive made some decent money here, and you cant really get groped. I always say to myself i love this club because one time I was giving dances to this guy who seemed to be feeling some sort of way and kept giving me 20's and 20's and literally 20's until he was out of money for dances. you just meet crazy cool people here. nothing but love.
castaways, cant really say since I have never danced here. too close to home. kinda in the middle of nowhere, didnt like the club set up that much.
magic lantern- small ass club in the middle of nowhere. good and bad nights- they just revamped the place i think but it still pretty much sucks. this is where i started dancing so i had to put it on the list :)
Re: Western Massachusetts
I've danced at a few different clubs in Western Mass now - I need to get off my ass and do some reviews. For now, here's the quick break-down of the clubs in Springfield and some others in the area. In Springfield, all the club are owned by the same guy - Jimmy. They have a pretty strict hierarchy in terms of 'quality' - Mardi Gras, Center Stage, Fifth Alarm, and finally Club 418. Just to clear up any potential confusion - Center Stage used to be a real dive and was called Club 418 and the 'new' 418 used to be Teddy B's. I wouldn't even bother with Fifth Alarm, where I did work for a moment or two, or Teddy B's - they're generally the clubs where girls go who have been fired from or who can't get hired at other clubs.
Mardi Gras is certainly the most upscale, biggest, and probably the best money-making option in all of Western Mass, not just Springfield. It is the most selective about hiring and has some politics involved. If you make the mistake of getting hired at one of the other clubs first, it will be much harder to work your way 'up' to working at Mardi Gras, so audition there first. The stage there sucks hugely, in my opinion, - it's a catwalk with all these gaps and chasms and many are between you and the customers. Also, it's a little too nonskid for my liking. Like all of the clubs in the area, except the Magic Lantern and Castaways, it's a circuit stage, so you're on stage with a bunch of other girls for 30 minutes and then off stage 30 minutes, at most of the other clubs it's on 20 and off 40. Bottom line, if you're at all serious about making money - it's really the place to go. Money was getting pretty scarce there last summer, but I returned recently and it seems to be doing much better.
Personally, I left Center Stage about a year ago because it was progressively getting more and more empty and ghetto. However, I do know girls who claim to have done well there. They do have a bouncer in the lap dance room so there's no groping or extras going on. Also, the stage is the best in the area - it's not a catwalk, it's a big solid stage, although still a circuit stage.
Anthony's is also owned by Jimmy, but is not in Springfield. Until recently, I would have recommended it. It's been kind of the second-place club in Jimmy's 'empire', under Mardi Gras and above Center Stage. Lately, however, we've gotten in a slew of new girls who are doing unspeakable things in the lap dance room - pussy and ass licking, tit sucking, and fingering. They're getting away with it too - I don't even want to think about what's going on in the champagne rooms. I'm still making money dancing clean, but who knows if that will last, and stage tips aren't at all what they used to be.
I've been at Castaways once and mean to go back once my day schedule allows. It is indeed very small and podunk, there's no champagne rooms and no dj. They seem to be a lot stricter about scheduling that a lot of other clubs in the area, which has its good and bad points. It was pretty empty on the weekend night I was there, but guys did seem to be getting dances. Certainly seemed like a slow paced club, which I personally found difficult, but like I said, I've only been there once. On a non-business note, I had a fabulous conversation with Giaanna - a very articulate and well-read lady.
The Magic Lantern I've never worked in, but some girls got busted for prostitution there last year. I went once as a customer, and it looked like it was a double-wide trailer converted into a club. I wasn't particularly impressed with the girls or the club. It was also super empty. There are oodles of clubs in Worcester, which is about half way between Westen Mass and Boston, but I haven't worked out there yet.
Oh, and Giaanna, when you say your average is day and night shifts combined, do you mean you're working doubles or that you work both types of shifts and average both together? Hope to see you soon. :)
Re: Western Massachusetts
ill be back in western mass soon, hopefully working some nights :)
Re: Western Massachusetts
what about platinum premiere, how's that place?
