new to this, not making $$
I just started working two weeks ago at a nude club here in SW Missouri. We have lap dances for $15, one song wearing only a thong and we can touch and grind on the customer but they can not touch us, on stage we take it all off. Here we don't get paid to sit and talk, they do not buy us drinks as we can not have any achohol in the club because we get nude. I want to know how I can make more money at this without moving. I make LOTS of eye contact, many customers have commented on how great it is to have a dancer look them in they eye as much as I do. I talk to them, listen, act as if I care about what they have to say, (Honestly I could care less about some of the stuff they go on and on and on about) I do bring up the lap dance question but when ever I ask I get turned down, anything from I don't get lap dances, to maybe later. These men will put up a few dollars, you dance for them, then move on to the next person. How can I get them to tip more while on stage, buy lap dances, etc?
For right now I am ok with the club I am at since I am still learning. Later though I may need to look into the surrounding areas for a higher class club. I see these posts about VIP rooms, paying for talking to you, etc and we just do not have that here, this makes making money very hard. This is a "rural" area (Springfield MO) not at all like a bigger city (KC, or St. Louis MO)
Any advice you can give me would be great.
Misty

Re: new to this, not making $$
I've only been dancing for a few days, and our club is VERY small and there are tons of girls. we serve alcohol but its 18 and up so alot of ppl cant drink, and you can almost sit anywhere and see the stage, (even the bar) so alot of them will just sit back and not tip.
but i've noticed theres a few ways to get guys to come to your rail:
(our songs only last three minutes- three and half- make sure theres one or two girls ahead of you) move your way around, talk to a guy for a seconds, excuse yourself and mention your next up or something like "well i hope u enjoy the show." wink and leave. i've gotten ALOT Of tips onstage by just working the room this way if no one is buying dances. (and thier not plastered drunk!)
Once the DJ announces me most of them will move closer to the rail, others will slip me a five next time i pass by and thank me.
Bait and switch girl, bait and switch.

That's great advice, and what I was going to suggest... that and the Hustle Hut threads are good :D good luck!
Re: new to this, not making $$
You'll get the hang of it... I think I read somewhere on here that it takes three or four months to "get it" about making money, and that was my experience. Just keep going. Don't think about it so hard, and it'll eventually "click."
That being said, don't hesitate to switch clubs if you don't want to work in the one you're at. Try out a few places. Finding the right club is part of learning, too.
Re: new to this, not making $$
I have been reading the other forums including hustle hut. Torrential_Downpours I have said this a few times, when I do have to go on stage. I was not really working it as angle to get them up to the rail, I'll have to work that a bit more and see how it goes. Thanks for the great tip.

I don't think that this is the right term you are looking for. Bait and switch suggests that you promise something you have no intention of doing ie; "If you go with me to VIP I wil let you finger me"
And then after the customer pays for VIP you tell him that you are not allowed to do that, but you will give him the hottest dances allowed in this club.
That is bait and switch.
Good suggestion for hustling the crowd to the rail, though ;) .
Yes, and really check out Hustle Hut for lots of good advice for making more $$$
Re: new to this, not making $$
you maybe talking to a customer for too long. I had that prob when i first started.
Use the "three song max" rule. dont talk to anyone longer than 3 songs. but try to lock a sale in one, of course this depends on the type of club--larger clubs you can get away with "wannadance", small clubs req more attention.
