Got myself in a bit of a pickle here...
I am looking for some way to find any offical information on earning of a table/exotic dancer in the UK. I am needing this to help with my final settlement with a insurance company.
I am not currently a dancer, but used to dance in London a few years back. I was hit by a drunk driver (i was a pedestrian) and was injured and unable to continue working as a dancer. I am in the final stages of settlement, and while the I have given the insurance company a copy of my contrat as proof of employment as a Exotic Dancer, they have no evidence in support of my earnings while working there.
I have advised them that table dancers are self-employed in EEC Countries and are not given payslips, but they are still wanting SOME evidence of my earnings. Being an insurance company, you can imagine my word is not enough.
I have contacted my x-manager but she has told me she can not confirm my earnings as I was self-employed.
SOOOOOOOOOOO,,,,At the moment, because the insurance company have nothing else to base it on, they are basing my lose of income on the minimum wage in the UK :( , which as you know, is heaps lower than what a exotic dancer earns.
Does anyone know of any websites or where I can find information of how to prove the average earnings of a exotic dancer???
Cheers.....
