I was so searching through this thread to see if anyone mentioned these. If I danced (rather, if I COULD dance), it would be to these songs. And I'm still waiting to see a dancer do these songs; that girl's got all my money for the night, just because the songs kickass.
idk how new these songs are, but they're hella fun to dance to!
More stuff I love dancing to:
I've really been branching out in the rock I dance to since I've been at my new club. They don't play and rap/hip-hop. I never thought I'd dance to a song with lyrics like DIE MOTHERFUCKER DIE MOTHERFUCKER DIE!! But it really does make for sexy dancing, IMO.
I have really been diggin;
Avenged Sevenfold - Almost Easy
Linkin Park- Shadow Of The Day
Hoobastank - Disappear
Pretty smoooove

What up ^^^^ X Evan X!! Nice to be not the only one in here...give this a try;
Against Me! - Thrash Unreal
I also currently like;
Atreyu - Becoming The Bull
A Place to Bury Strangers. Does anyone else like them? They have a myspace, of course.
My favorite band (one of them anyway) is the Legendary Shack Shakers. Especially their track "CB Song" which is just so good.
So into right now. Go to about 3:07, best part of the song!
...Here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass...
Plates on ur ass bitch!!
Plates on ur ass!...
I use my music, my weapon
I'm droppin' plates...
hmm... if it's a younger crowd, is Killswitch Engage's "arms of sorrow" appropriate??? I am in LOVE with this group, and the lead singer's voice is just amazing... it's one of the only semi-ballad-like slower/rhythmic songs (where he doesn't scream) i can find by them. and yes, it would be perfect for my dancing style... i want to play this sooooo badly... is this another one of my 'better in theory' ideas? ;) :P :-\
^^^ I really dig KSE....my favorite song by them and have played in da club; (There is only a lil' RAWWWWRRRRHHHHGGGG!!!!! in this song......a talented DJ will know how to minimize this) Very powerful and distinctive.....me likey!!
ummm... omg.... that was played in a CLUB???? i don't mean to be insulting, and please don't take offense, but i would find that VERY hard to dance to... it's just too fast! Hard is fine, but for a harder song to work in the SC and still be sensual it has to be slower... i could listen to that in my car (although it's not the best i've heard from them... i like stuff like "holy diver" "my curse" "my last serenade" and "the end of heartache") but even with a younger crowd that'd be mighty hard to pull off.
No worries bout being insulting...the fact that it IS hard to dance to is why it and certain other songs always made money....this was on west coast in a very Xtreme sports area (snowboarders,dirtbikers,etc.) I would be more hesitant to play in an urban club setting.
I definitely dance to KSE whenever I'm allowed. "End Of Heartache," "Rose Of Sharyn," "This Is Absolution," and "Arms Of Sorrow" are the songs I'm about. A DJ in New Orleans who found out that I'm into KSE ad Renaissance Faires got major points from me for playing "Holy Diver" for me, too.
Other stuff I'm loving dancing to lately:
Lacuna Coil (I saw the earlier comments in this thread about it, but I love Karmacode)
The Misfits with Michael Graves singing, but most specifically "Scream" and "Descending Angel"
Anything by Social Distortion
She Wants Revenge - Tear You Apart
update: i did an "arms of sorrow" + "46 &2" (tool) set... it worked VERY well... i still think it's the only kse song i'll play, but i was quite pleased. ;D
I'm not quite sure where to put this categorically, but Saul Williams "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is a pretty good cover I've been listening to lately.
rob zombie-pussy liqour
marilyn manson-the dope show
metallica-poor twisted me
I'm surprised no one has mentioned these...they're oozing with sex appeal
Anyone dancing to the new Marilyn Manson yet? I've been meaning to try "Just a Car Crash Away", "You and Me and the Devil Makes 3" and "Putting Holes in Happiness".
I love the new manson CD ...try Evidence and "Are you the rabbit"
I have been dancing to Mad Caddies' "Coyote" and getting the BEST response... it's totally different, has a reeeeaaallly catchy beat, and people love it! hehe I was all about Mad Caddies back in the 9th grade, when ska was uber-cool... the band changed their style a lot, and although most stuff is still not club-appropriate, this song is just perfecto.
-There's a new Bauhaus album coming out March 4th. I've heard 2 songs and wasn't terribly blown away. I don't know if I should be excited or prepare myself for disappointment. ::sigh::
