Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I just wanted to start a discussion about whether Friday and Saturday nights are necessarily better money nights than other weekday nights. I just got a non-stripping job working Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. At first I was disappointed with my shifts, because Friday and Saturday nights are usually pretty good for me.
But, I asked myself, are Friday and Saturday nights really better? I find that I can make as much money on weeknights, without trying to try so hard to impress the crowd and compete with all the other girls that want to work on Fri and Sat.
What do y'all think?

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
This is such a complicated question you have no idea. You could ask 100 dancers this question and get 100 different answers. Some prefer weekends because the clubs are often more busy and there is more earning potential and others prefer weekdays because they are slower and can sell in slower environments better. It all boils down to the club itself, the types of clientelle it brings in, etc. etc. etc.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
From what i see, down here, Friday and Saturday nights are very crowded "young broke-ass punk" lousy money nights, Tue-Thu are good money nights, Sun-Mon are lean money nights. ...excluding conventions, true hustlers, girls with many regulars or girls giving extras. Even so, i know some lookers who can make more working the smaller day shift crowd than competing against the masses at night.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
As a businessman customer, I will rarely if ever be in a club on Friday or Saturday night. I most likely will come when travelling, after a business meeting or dinner, which will never be on Friday or Saturday, and also have no interest in being amidst a noisy, heavy drinking weekend crowd. Tue-Thursday are far more likely nights, Mondays on occasion.

Very true. I think it ultimately depends on how you sell. Weekends at my club, I can usually do the "wanna dance" with the occasional conversation. On the weeknight/days I usually have to sit down and conversate. Nothing wrong with either, because I can do both.
Some girls use "wanna dance" 100% of the time no matter the day, night, or time. I also think on the weekends, like Wiseguy said, there is the "young broke-ass punk" crowd who just wanna chill. There are so many of them, and they usually have enough for maybe a dance or 2. Usually they wait around for the specials of the night. You know, gettin the most bang for their buck. I make just as much on weekends as I do on dayshift, BUT I work alot harder for my money on the weekends. I get so emotionally drained on weekends. Walking around in circles saying "wanna dance" "no" "wanna dance" "no" really starts to play on your mind after awhile.

and some girls like day shift while most say nights are better
Me personally....I love weeknights....they are my VIP room nights. Weekends I sell more dances. In the end I guess I earn about the same amount of money, I just feel more exhausted on weekend nights.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Weekends and late at night it gets really crowded and there is more earning potential... but it's true it's mostly large groups of young guys with not much money to spend... that and there's a ton of competition to deal with. Whereas earlier in the night and on weekdays you can potentially make the same money more easily in spite of the small crowd, because I noticed the clientele is mostly older businessmen who come alone and are more willing to spend money on VIPs.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Weekend nights are a lot busier here, but we also have more girls working the weekend nights, so it usually evens out. I do make more on weekends usually, especially Saturday nights, but not a whole lot more. Maybe a hundred or so more.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Weekend nights for me are good because it is more of a 'party' environment versus a work, work, work environment during the week. The hustle definitely has to change but as long as the approach changes, the money stays the same. I absolutely can not have the same approach at midnight on a Saturday night as I do on a midnight on a slow Monday lol....

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I personally prefer day shifts, more businessmen on breaks, morning are better here, arvos arent too bad, but the nights have too much bs!

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I almost always make more money on Monday and Tuesday nights then I do on Friday and Saturdays. Less girls, better clientelle.
I also kinda prefer the mid day shift. The shifts go 11-3, 3-7, 7-11 and 11-2. I always work form 3-11, two shifts and do good. I get some day guys, the happy hour crowd and some night regulars.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
i work at a club where it really only takes one guy to make my night.... and usually thats on weekdays. weekends scare me cause its too hectic. and i also like to come at the beginning of a shift around 7 cause thats when i find that one guy to make my night...

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I haven't worked a weekend night in a long time. I can't stand the bachelor parties, the just turned 21yr olds, couples w/reluctant females....screw all that, give me a midweek/dayshift anytime. ;)

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I am beginning to prefer weeknights, i can only work Fri-Sat-Sun and occasionally i switch it up w/ a weeknight b/c classes, but i found i am making my most $$ Sunday!!! it isnt that busy, but not many girls, and laid back easy envio, Fri and Sat are crazy, and lots of sitters and women broke college students A ton of women, to the point the its annoying w/ the guys looking at us in awe.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Here are my observations based on asking and tracking, dancer income revenue numbers for a friend of mine, and then conversational with other dancer friends of hers who then accepted me… somewhat.
First of all, as was stated earlier in this thread, it depends on the club. Consider a nice showclub, with say 7,000 s.f.; of space and three bars. Say, for assumption purposes, the showclub caters to workers, either skilled trades, or business people and some business travelers. Say further that the club is located in a early 1980’s mid rise office market, with some hotels, shops, banks and restaurants nearby. Good freeway access, but no visability to the freeway traffic was allowed by the local government when the place was set up.
On a Saturday, the office buildings are closed, the business travelers are gone, and the tradespeople are home or working on the weekend on residential repair and maintenance as the office buildings are closed. On a Saturday there is less traffic on the streets, with the exception that there is more retail shopping traffic. Then the shops close at 5 p.m. on Saturday and there is almost no traffic Saturday night. Are you beginning to see the picture here? The normal market for the club is gone on a Saturday. It is replaced by a younger, more trouble prone, party crowd with less money to spend. If your club has many of the market attributes I have just mentioned above, your Saturday crowd will earn you less money.
Best nights tend to be Thrusday, Friday nights. Followed by Wednesday and Saturday. My opinion is that Monday and Tuesday are really bad nights for income.
Generally speaking Saturday should be better for you than a Monday, but would be a lot of table side dances and few VIPS. You will have a lot of stage rotations, which helps your tableside dances, but will not sell VIP’s or even VIP bar area drinks.
It depends on your club. This is my opinion (based on observation) and my typical favorite club. Your club could do very well on Saturday, but would have a very different customer base.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Completely agree with WiseGuy_Tx!!! I hate Friday & Saturday nights!!! Friday & Saturday days are better! I love Sunday thur Thursday nights...but in all honestly, no matter day or night, it really only take's that 1 (sometimes 2) customer... ;)

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Typically my weekends are more busier than regular weekdays. So I would have to say working weekends is more beneficial to me, because there are so many more people coming in then.
-
Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I prefer weekdays to Friday nights -- for some reason I don't earn as much in stage tips as the other girls, but most nights I'm often the only one to land any dances. My good friend and I are pretty honest about our earnings with each other (we both started together and work every Thursday together), and she usually makes twice as much on Friday nights as on Thursday nights. I however usually make the same amount/less on Friday/Sats, because I get overwhelmed by all of the drunk hipsters and can't hustle them as well.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I can always count on Friday nights to be my best nights, but all other days are up in the air. I never work Saturday or Sunday, so I'm not sure how they are, but a lot of girls seem to think they aren't much better than weekdays.
Thursday is my second biggest night, and sometimes in a tie with Wednesday. I somehow still come in Mondays, even though that really is the worst for me, unless a regular comes in.
I'm not scheduled for Tuesdays, but sometimes I come in anyway if I'm broke just to see if I make a bit more money.
We don't have a day shift anymore, so I come in around 8pm and leave around 2am. Bars close early in Hollywood, but I notice we get most of our custys in around 1am and a lot of them tend to complain about the early closing (especially those from out of town). I'd love it if we could work until at least 3 or 4. I'd probably walk away with at least another $100.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I only work Sun and Wed nights. I have worked ALL the shifts and these 2 seem to 'fit' me best. Laid back environment, less girls, cool manager, cool bouncers. Men that come in are generally older, traveling businessmen or guys stopping by on the way home from work.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I have just switched my saturdays to work monday nights instead , people who are out on saturdays usually are passing by before going out to clubs so it's a lot of groups and young couples. Business men are out on mondays especially out of towners who don't want to be stuck in their hotel rooms.I'm hoping it's a good move...

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
Well last night was my first monday it was slow but there was a small , good crowd of men. I also met cutomers who will be in town for next couple of weeks so it was good for PR I guess.

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
i am beginning to think i do the best during the week... particularily on wednesdays and thursdays.... saturday nights aren't too bad... it gets jammed with young guys who aren't spending on the weekends... a lot of bachelor parties are on saturdays so that helps a lot...

Re: Friday and Saturday nights vs. weekdays
I do not work friday and saturday because i do not do well with younger clientel. So I take those days off.

Personally, my favourite two nights are Friday and Sunday whenever I visit my 'regular' Melbourne club. Outside of those two nights I do not mind Monday, Wednesday or Thursday with no preference.
Just that, these days, Saturday nights are starting to become (in more clubs that I have personally worked within) the 'group' nights... esp. Bucks parties. The problem here is that (esp. with Bucks parties) out of the whole group only one or two will actually have a dance (they prefer the Buck to have one 'standard' dance with different girls - not alot of 'repeat' business as such).
I prefer lone and small groups (2-4 people).
I like Friday nights as they can be busy yet still have the 'type' of customer I prefer (the type that will have repeat dances). I like Sunday nights because it is not (more the type of customer who will buy repeat dances).
It really depends on the club and city.
