ABC rules California
I am going throught he FAQ on the ABC ca gov site
Q. 101. May a licensee employ hosts, hostesses and entertainers, or permit any person, to solicit others to buy them drinks?
A. No. Such persons may not be employed for the purpose of procuring or encouraging the sale of alcoholic beverages or other drinks. It is unlawful to pay or agree to pay such an employee a percentage of the receipts from sales of alcoholic beverages or other drinks solicited or made by such employee. (Sections 24200.5, 25657 and Rule 143)
Ok... so what about the waitresses? I don't get this one.
Also I am looking on the site but I can't seem to find a search term to bring up a SC... what would be the goverment term for the establishment. I want to see the 6 inch rule and stuff

Re: ABC rules California
It means you cant be paid commission off alcoholic drinks by the club - waitress or dancer.
There is a 6" rule in CA but only a few clubs follow it...
There are city, county and state ordinances. You may want to use each when searching for laws about your specific area/club.

Re: ABC rules California
thank you for explaining that.
I heard from a customer some news about the club and according to him they is contact in the lap dances which is what Iw anted, since the airdances are just a bit to hard for me to pull off.

Re: ABC rules California
This depends alot on where you are in California and why type of club. Your alcohol clubs have less contact than nude. Orange County is super strict compared to other places.

Re: ABC rules California
That is an interesting law....I work in a bar in San Diego, I sell jello shots. I make 25 cents per shot I sell, plus my tips. I am assuming this is illegal.
