Need some advice and ideas
Well, I am finally gonna start dancing. . .I have all my outfits ready, now I just need to choose some music. I really like punk music, but I know it would be awkward to dance to. I was thinking Bother by Stone Sour or maybe Edge of seventeen by Jonas. I'm not too sure and I am starting on wednesday, so I have to have some music by then. I also have no flipping idea what I am going to do with the pole. . . hmm. . . I'll see if I can go in about an hour earlier so I can have some time on stage to work out a rountine. I've been practicing (in my sexy black 7 inch heels) around the house. My shoes are pretty much almost broken in. Is it considered rude to skip idle chit chat with custys and ask them straight up if they want a dance? I know I am bouncing around from thing to thing, but there is a part of me that is nervous, yet excited. If there are any tips you want to throw my way (I have never done this before) I would greatly appreciate them. Whether it's floor tricks (I think that might be my safest bet until I could master the pole. I'll just use the pole as an accessory) :O I am so confused. Any tips will help me. . .Thanks!
Kelly
p.s.
This is one of the most amazing sites I have found so far when it comes to Dancing. . .Oh by the way, if there are any girls from Montreal, Quebec, Canada in here, please let me know what the clubs are like in town (I know Doric's and Vegas fairly well, but thats about it)
I am also with an agency, which is a good thing, right? I am not technically paying them anything. All I have to do is pay my driver and my service bar (that could be covered at the end of the night right? It doesn't have to be paid as soon as I walk in?)
Re: Need some advice and ideas
The DJ will help you with music... you say you like 'punk' theyll find appropriate punk type music for you to dance to.
Skipping chat has to do with the club environment... some clubs the men expect chit chat and at some they dont... youll learn that by trying and seeing how it works. Youll be surprised... most new girls end up chatting too much so if it IS a talking club make it 1-2 songs max and go in for the kill. If wanna dance works for you and its what the other girls do then go for it.
No one knows how to use the pole when they start. It takes practice. Some girls have been dancing years and either dont know how or just dont want to... I used to do pole tricks but dont anymore... I just use it to spin around and balance on...

I'm still a little nervous tho. The pole is just an accessory. . .I'll just go with the flow I guess. Tomorrow I have to call the agency and set up my file. I also think I should practice a little (but Tracey-my best friend and neighbour and the one who introduced me to her agent) told me I shouldn't over-practice and that she would be working at the same bars as me and not to worry. I tend to over worry tho. All I have to do is relax and practice walking with my shoes. . .i noticed stairs at a couple of the clubs I have been to, so I want to at least be prepared for that. I don't wanna trip and fall on my first night. . .
