I tell you.
Compared to 5/6 years ago the economy is in the toilet. I will refrain from saying why because the reasons are mostly political in nature. If your area didn't feel the brunt of this until this year consider yourself lucky.
What to do now, well all I can suggest is to tailor your budget to the potential income from the clubs and/or any other jobs you may hold.In other words downsize. I wish there was a more positive answer but odds are things will stay this way or get worse until at least 2008.
We've (my huband and I) defintely had a better year this year in vegas.
Everything is about the same (or slightly better) than last year. But here in the Northwest the money has never been super duper or anything. $1k nights in Oregon are rare, and many dancers in Oregon never see a $1k night. But aside from that, it beats working in cubicle of 40 hours a week ;D .
Its tight here... Ive noticed its a lot harder to get the guys to part with their money and there are many girls leaving with $100 a night on average... hopefully it picks up in the spring when tax season is over...
Its just the cycle of the years. Im my belief some areas are great and others are getting harder. Its just the way things go.
Although this month so far has been tough. Then again I havent even been at this club for a year yet to really see how things go. If Im right Emily1015 you havent danced for a year yet. If so, then stay around for longer and you'll begin to see the industry fluctuations.
There are alot more variables than the club, you, the econemy, youre hustling style, etc.
Yes emily!! I feel it too. I've danced in Tampa for almost four years, and the past four months have been terrible! Last year, during the same months, things were rocking...
Dunno...
A month and a half til retirement - thank god :)
I don't want to go and jinx myself, but from November until now (with of course the odd rough weeks), the money has been terrific around here. It's not everyone who's banking, but it's definitely not just me. Like, $800 on a Sunday kinda nights.
HOWEVER it is high contact around here, and god knows I wouldn't do it for $300 a night.
yep nov-march is "season" here in fl. while i have done fairly well. it wasnt anything like 2004 or 2005.
yea.. sucks here....
