God, what a long first night....ouch...
Yes it was.
I got there at 3 because I got out of my other job at 2:30 and there were 15 girls and only 7 custies. But....being the studious dancer that I am, and reading your posts, I still worked the people that were in the room and I got my first two lap dances in that first hour. For being as slow as it was, I was happy to even get a dance! And this also made me pretty comfortable instead of giving my first dance in a crowded room.
It stayed REALLY slow until about 7, and the day shift ended at 8. Well, my initial plan was to go home at 8 but they wanted me to stay for the night shift. My VERY first time dancing EVER and they wanted me to stay for a Sat. night. I was scared shitless! lol Well, I ended up staying, cause the money's good right? But I told them I had to leave at 12 because I had to work at 8 the next day, and that was cool with them.
So I worked from 3pm to midnight and I made $380. I was pretty stoked. But it is very hard work. My legs and knees are KILLING me. It also takes a loonnnnggg time to work guys up to buy a dance, and I cant seem to get a guy on the couches which cost a little more. Maybe I seem to eager? How do I slyly get them to go onto the couches with me?
I also went up on stage once, when it was a slower part of the day and fuck I was scared! haha. But all the girls were REALLY nice and they helped me out, told me what to do, and they came up on stage and a little girl on girl act with me. It seemed like I got people to go to the tip rail so I was happy about that, and I got $15 for my two songs.
All in all, it was a long night, and I'm tired and in pain! :)

WOW $380 your first night! that's AWESOME!!!! You sure know how to work it for bein a newbie!!!! i sure as hell couldn't pull that off my first night, I'm extremely shy! BUT the club I started at was one that you had to do a LOT of stage stuff.......THAT was nerve racking as hell!!! CONGRATS!!!!
Re: God, what a long first night....ouch...
OH and soak yourself in a warm bath with bath salts and stuff, it helps to alleviate the pain. Also take VERY good care of your feet! If they start to hurt a lot, especially on the bottoms (on the balls) it's not a good thing, it's very painful. I usually give myself a pedicure like once a week and soak them and make sure I shave off the callouses to promote healthy skin growth> that way it won't hurt as bad!

FYI....shaving the callouses off is not good. it is illegal in a lot of states also. you should use a pumice or something instead, it's very easy to slice yourself up with those razors. also it does NOT promote "healthy skin growth" it makes the skin there grow back faster and encourages new callouses to form....not sure if i said that exactly right but i know that shaving the callouses off, especially by yourself, is bad bad bad.
Re: God, what a long first night....ouch...
oh sorry, lol. i forgot to say congrats on your great first night! as far as all the stuff you asked about, it takes a little time to figure out what works for you, be patient and it will start to come to you!
Re: God, what a long first night....ouch...
The money gets better for most girls, but that's still a really good first night. As far as getting the guys to dance goes, some guys won't dance with new dancers because they're afraid the dancer will be shy or won't know what she's doing. On the other hand, some guys -love- dancing with the new girls because they're "fresh". You'll get the hang of the hustle eventually. Just pay attention to what works and what doesn't. It also gets easier to spot the guys that spend money. I know that one of the reasons I make twice as much now as I did when I started is because I'm better at knowing who exactly to talk to.
Re: God, what a long first night....ouch...
When I first started I took a hot bath immediatly after work and I wasnt so sore in the morning. Congrats to you for doing so well
Its illegal to shave callouses off in your own bathroom? WTF?
Re: God, what a long first night....ouch...
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids (doesn't have to be water) throughout the night. Try not to drink much alcohol. Sip. You want to be clearheaded to keep them and keep yourself safe and getting enough sleep. Alcohol will dry you out and tire you into the next work day. Consider taking DancerWealth's home course to get comfortable selling the more expensive couch dance. If half your dances were couch dances you'd be making 50% more probably. What's not to like! Congrats on a strong start newbie star!

Oh, and you'll get over the soreness after a week or two. Try Pilates stretches before or after work to relax your body and mind. And remember to stay hydrated and even take a power bar to work to keep your carb intake up! :)
