SUNY Community Colleges may offer "Art Of Exotic Dancing" Class for credit
There is some talk here that some of the SUNY Community Colleges will teach Exotic Dancing and Pole Dancing for PE College credit. Many of the Colleges already teach Belly Dancing so it is not so much of a big step to teach "Exotic Dancing".
The Program will be marketed to Women in recovery from Domestic Violence and Drug abuse so that they can regain Confindence in themselves. There is also a Pole Dancing Craze going on through many soriaty housed with many sratety installing poles in there houses. SUNY Commnity College credits are fully transferble to any other SUNY College including CORNELL and some SYRACUSE University Programs... I would expect that of course that partispants will be covered .....How ever the SUNY drama arts programs have put on shows that involve nuduity suh as "Oh Callcutta" and "Hair" in the past...

That's cool. It only sucks for dancers because with all of this strip class craze it just makes what we do more and more mundane. IMO. But maybe there is an upside...

The upside, if you are savvy and there is a market, is to produce videos while the going is hot in instructional exotic dancing, pole dancing and lap dancing. ;D

I'm not sure if all this interest from society has been a good thing or bad thing.
Honestly, I liked it much better when strip clubs and stripping were a bit more underground. I can only speak from a customer’s point of view but it seems to me there is a huge segment of the population running round thinking they know something about strip clubs and dancers based on rap videos, tabloid television and yes, community college courses. Most of these folks have never and probably will never ever set foot in a club.
I'll be shocked if any of the ladies at the local community college ever end up getting naked in front of a room full of strange men and ultimately depending on those strangers to lust after you enough to pay you to pretend you like them.
Friday and Saturday nights are "amateur nights" in all of my favorite clubs now. Rookie customers who think that every dancer will go home with them for the price of a lap dance spend all night (and very little money) annoying the girls with questions about where the secret hot tub VIP room is.

If I was a dancer too much pressure and not enough reality. Can you imagine being in a class and an instructor is trying to teach you one thing and you are sitting there with a purse full of money representing the total opposite of what is being taught? It would be tough to sit there and let someone talk about theory while you live in reality.

I'll look into that later (when, if you return). Get your facts straight or people won't believe you.
CORNELL is a private university not associated at all with the SUNY system. It is one of the best in the nation in cetain areas like medicine, engineering, etc. Also SYRACUSE U is a private university not associated at all with the SUNY system. SUNY is a state-wide system of tuition-subsidized universities and community colleges.
