The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Ugh. Several of you ladies suggested this club, and AudreyLeigh, I know you love it. Mind if I ask why? I worked there yesterday and it was perfectly awful. Seriously, worst club I've ever worked in, and second worst club I've ever seen. What on earth do y'all like about it? What did I miss?

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
I'm glad it's not just me!

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
I'm curious, just in case I ever think about going there,,, what is it exactly that is wrong with this club? I always thought it was a very "hollywood" type of place with lotsa rich people, but I may be wrong.,, I also thopught maybe the dancers were like tall tanned bombshells and so I got intimadated,, but I guess I'm wrong about that too?

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
The reason I liked it here was that it was a) show up whenever you want, b) fast cash. I rarely saw customers in here willing to buy lapdance after lapdance, but the sheer volume of customers that come in every night made it possible to make money. Plus, the reason that I dance is that I adore being onstage and naked, and at this club, everyone is watching the stage. Haha. Of course, I didn't like it long enough to stay permanently...I use it as an in-betweener/emergency cash type place, and work in a white collar gentlemen's club on a permanent basis for fairly consistent money.
(another fun reason to work here is that if you aren't making money at the moment, you can throw on your street clothes, run to a bar or club on sunset with some of the girls, party for an hour, then come back and work when a new set of customers is there. I rarely did this b/c I prefer to work sober, but occasionally it was fun!)
Anyways Yekhefah, I hope you have better luck at the next place you work!!

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
That's the club that BC girls work in when they go to LA...I guess they don't check ID there? But anyways, I've only heard good about that place too! What was bad about it?

Sounds good so far

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
See my review.
I hear it's packed at night, but I was there for a Saturday afternoon shift (1-8 pm). Although it still looks like it would be a horrible place at night, no matter how busy it is. I hope I don't get desperate enough to have to go back.
Anyway, my review goes into more detail. I just wondered what there was to like here.
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
oh wow, no wonder you hated it!! I worked one day shift here, and it was horrible. It's true that late at night it gets packed...that's pretty much what I liked about it! ;)
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Yeah, but how do you make money even then? The lapdance areas are still horrible, the house takes more than half, the customers are still underage fratboys who bitch and moan because they get better mileage back home in Texas... do you just run a wanna-dance mill of one $20 nude song each and let them bitch afterward?

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
I wasn't too thrilled when I visited this club either... ha.

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
I love Jumbo's for hanging out in, but that's it. You're right, I don't know why Hollywood is like that, but it is. And now Crazy Girls is closed... I don't know why the bikini places can't go topless. They'd do so well here if they did.
I'm still looking for a great club within a reasonable distance of Hollywood. I don't expect to find one.

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
you can try star garden in lankershim north hollywood ,they pay you for the shift, and is mostly stage $ - about 150 to 200 - not many lapdances tho.
a friend of mine did good there - good in the limits of LA good - around the 200s ...
which wouldnt be good in other parts of the country
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
$200 is pretty good for most of L.A. Maybe I'll check it out. I've been avoiding the Valley because my asthma acts up there, but it doesn't look like there are any other options. Thanks for the tip!

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
When I was in LA I visited the Body Shop on a Saturday night and noticed that a lot of the customers were really, really young. My friends and I were seated by the stage and were tipping heaps but it didnt look like many other people were. I found it a little hard to unwind as a customer without having a few drinks and it felt to me like the other customers were just there to catch up with friends and have a bit of a perve rather than buy dances. Of course, I was only there for 2hrs and then made a move on because I was so tired and jet lagged.
I really, really liked Jumbo's! I dragged my friend out there one evening because "Ooooer, Courtney Love used to work here!" (Yeah, I'm a fan girl) and while it was really quiet I thought that the girls were beautiful and it was such a quirky, cute little club. I tipped the girls on stage, but I did not notice a private dance area.... so I'd love to hear from any one who has worked there so that they can tell me if you earn $ from stage tips alone?
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
The girls at Jumbo's get shift pay, from what I hear, plus their stage tips. They do lapdances in that little sofa area, but I've never seen it done. It's a great place to hang out, but I kind of miss the old Jumbo's, back when it had huge fat topless women and that Mexican lady that used to smoke the customer's cigarettes with her cooch. The hilarity factor is gone and it's just a bikini club now. Ah well!

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Fantasy Island..West LA..not far from Hollywood, alcohol bikini medium contact club...
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Actually, I'd watch out for Fantasy Island...I've heard from a couple girls recently that they had to leave there because it had turned pretty dirty...though I can't speak from personal experience, so please correct me if I'm wrong...
If you're lookig for a cleaner club in the same area, try Plan B. Bikini, alcohol, lower contact, and I've heard that they're hiring a wider range of looks these days (I worked here last fall and they seemed to have loosened some of their hiring standards then, and I'm hearing it's even more loose now). Again, I could be wrong, but it's worth a shot!
Good luck babe!

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Yeah, she was awesome! She smoked cigarettes with it, and she could also squat over the tip rail and pick up singles one by one until she had a huge cash wad in her cooch... then she'd bend way over and shake it at the crowd. I miss that woman! She was awesome.
Went there last night and it's just not the same. At least Mecca is still there and still dancing the same... she's one of my favorite people in L.A.

Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Yekhefah,
I know that you tried the Jet Strip & hated it, but did you ever try Bare Elegance? Just wondering. I had lunch there today, and it just seems to be a really nice classy place. For what it's worth, the dancers seemed to like the place and get along with each other. All I know is somehow I managed to drop $300 there for lunch, so they are doing something right! ;)
BTW....The Wild Goose is pretty dead lately...weekend nights tend to get busy (especially Friday night), but ever since the girls started raising their prices from $10 to $15/$20, business seemed to drop off. Twenty dollar air dances are just too high $$$ for the blue collar crowd there. Many custy's have headed to Fritz, where dances are still $10.
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
i dont remember who posted it but you dont get paid for your shift at star garden. but it is a cool place to work. i'll drop in there sometimes, alot of my friends work there. all your money is made on stage and guys there actually tip. its not uncommon to average $200 a night there. the house fee is $10 per shift.
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
I work the day shift at body shop in west hollywood, and I don't do that bad. My first day there I made 300 bucks. I have been averaging about 200 a shift there. I have absolutely no interest in working the night shift at that club. not my cup of tea at all. Most hollywood clubs suck. 7th veil and cheetahs in particular. have you tried downtown yet? have you tried silver reign on missisipi? (west L.A.) I have some friends there that really dig it. have you tried DVNH? Stay away from BZNH; you have to be nasty as fuck to make money there, it sucks.
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Silver Reign was not a cool place when I went there about 8 months ago. PM for details. Do NOT recommend. The Vu in NH still best place aside from Bare Elegance/SR-COI for big money potential in SoCal.
-
Re: The Body Shop, West Hollywood
Thanks. When I get back from Vegas, I'll try Bare Elegance.

hahaha! You're SOOOO right about Cheetah's! I work there (unfortunately) and it's really hard to break over $200 these days because of Crazy Girls closing down and we are getting all of their dancers wanting jobs.
I actually started out at CG and I wasn't a good dancer when I started AT ALL. You didn't have to be great to dance there, but it was in the girls' best interest because no one wanted to pay $25 for a table dance when there was hardly any contact. They made most of their money on stage.
Yekehfeh,
I wouldn't even bother stripping in Hollyweird anymore if I had a car...I'm gonna check out some places in the Valley when I get money from one of my slaves. Should be next month. We'll find a good place to dance, I promise!! LOL
Otherwise, I'm going back to doing telemarketing.
