Getting Hired
I have a few questions and it would be great if someone could help me!
I see that everyone is sayin to go into a club to get the feel for it and to get dance moves ideas, but what about the getting hired part. I'm not worried about how i look, but how i should go about presenting myself. What is a good time to go in and speak to the manager/whoever? what should i wear? what key things should i say or do to prepare myself or say? Do you have to be 18 or 21 in the state of oklahoma to be able to dance?
thanks to everyone who responds, and hope i can get started soon!

Re: Getting Hired
Hi Curious. Last night was my first night. I was just planning to observe, not even audition yet. But someone introduced me to the manager, and he had me borrow one of the girls outfits and shoes and put me on stage. I was scared to death, haha. Not about being infront of people naked, just not knowing how to dance. And the shoes! Oh, my legs are killing me today. If you're not use to them, don't start in 7.5" heels. :) But I ended up staying the whole night and my confidence had went up a lot by the time I left.
To answer your question, I walked in wearing torn up jeans and a cute top, nothing sexy. Expect them to ask you to start, or audtion while you're there. So take an outfit and shoes if you have it (or you may have to squeeze into someone's too-small-7" heels!). Just be honest about why you're there and what your intentions are. What made it easiest for me was the manager was so friendly but also business-like. He made me feel very comfortable. Really, just be yourself.
Good luck!
