Silicone last longer than saline?
I've wanted BA since I hit puberty when my nipples exploded yet my boobs never quite caught up. Given the oppertunity to fulfil this "dream" I researched the matter and soon realized that what I had could be considered (Ive never been to a PS for confirmation) a moderate form of Tuberous breast, where the nipples hang low and pendulous but the breast tissue itself never expands. I thought long and hard about whether the pain and risk were worth it (oh the torture!) and in the end decided against it because I didnt want to end up with implants that would have to be removed every 5-10 years. Now reading through the posts on this forum I'm hearing that silicone breasts actually have a much longer life span than saline? If the odds of silicone outlasting saline are significantly greater, that would be cause for me to reconsider my decision.
Note: Its not the size of my breasts that causes me concern but rather their shape. I am a 34B/large A with very large nipples that hang well below my crease. Now, when my nipples shrink and become erect the shape of my breast improves dramatically and I am quite happy with them. Could this effect be achieved (permanently) in another fashion, preferably one that does not necessitate multiple surgeries? I want a permanent nipple hard-on!
thanks :)

Re: Silicone last longer than saline?
I know that girls that have had their nipples pierced have permanently hard nipples, but I'm not sure that it would give you the effect you're looking for. That's the only thing I know of.
Re: Silicone last longer than saline?
Also there is nipple reduction surgery, and they could probably move them higher also. You may want to have a consultation.

here's an interesting site about tuberous breasts (looks like you'd have to get at least a lift to fix it):

anyway, I know you can qualify for silicone with this condition, but I havne't heard the stats about silicone lasting longer. There really isn't much information out there on this because the ones taht are widely used are the gummies, which haven't been out that long. You also pay $2000 more for the implants that you would for saline implants, so factor that in.
Also, the reason why many (most?) women change implants is because they are not happy with the size anymore. So if you decide a redo of silicone, you pay that $2000 twice. On the other hand, a lot of times women get a redo to go from saline to silicone (because they like the look and feel), so you'd be saving yourself that step!
FWIW, saline implants will last you at least 10 years according to your warranty.
good luck!
Re: Silicone last longer than saline?
I've had my saline implants for eight years.
Re: Silicone last longer than saline?
One of the girls I worked with had two different sized breasts, one of which was tuberous and she LOVES her implants. You would never know she ever had any issues. She's got salines and they've heald up great so far.
Re: Silicone last longer than saline?
Thanks for the suggestions! I think I just might go in for a consultation after all. My assumption has always been that doing a breast lift on my tiny boobs would just make them even tinier... but maybe it's worth it to get the shape I want.
Maybe I should just start a seperate thread for my next question: Can anyone reccomend a good PS in the Northern New Jersey area? Bonus points for one that dispenses cohesive gels.
Thanks!!!
