Re: Getting more VIP sales
This is a very good idea. It is often used by salespeople (especially the ones that go door-to-door). When I was a telemarketer (which is a really sucky job just in case you were wonderine.. lol) we were told to start with the middle choice, and if the customer didn't want that, then we would talk about the cheaper choices. If they said they were interested in the middle choice, then we would try to talk them into the more expensive choices by saying how much better of a deal they were. If we started out with the most expensive choice, they often would just hang up on us, but in person if you start with the most expensive choice, they most likely aren't going to walk away from you, they'll just say no, and then you can talk about the cheaper choices.
Re: Getting more VIP sales
I totally agree. I made that switch at my last club and I made a lot more money doing so, I'd say I made on average $50 to $100 more per night by listing the most expensive option first. It's worth a shot!
Re: Getting more VIP sales
This is kind of off topic, but what kind of toys do you use? Does the club provide them? Do you bring in your own?
Just sounds kind of dirty...I hope it's safe and sterile in there.
Re: Getting more VIP sales
Yea, I started listing our club prices from expensive to cheap a couple of months ago. If nothing else it makes the cheap dance prices feel affordable.
Re: Getting more VIP sales
I have been stripping for 11 years and now that i am working less I am better at hustling than ever. I love sales people( car salesmen, realtors, telemarketers street vendors take all u can get its free!) and always listen 2 their sales pitch no matter what is being sold to use some of their techniques. i will always try to sell the most expensive room and work down if necessary. I also tell them that the private room is better cuz on the main floor everyone is watching his dance for his money rather than the V.I.P where it is more intimate and no one is paying attention to us cuz everyone back there is doing the same thing so that gets them, I always talk to them for as long as I can cuz the more they think they know about me the closer they feel and the more they spend. Also if the guy ever asks how much a dance is then he has no clue so u tell them a price and include that is the minimum and u love tips as well so that bumps up the pocket cash 2! Hustle, hustle and sometimes annoy cuz u come around enough times like a commercial they will not 4 get u and will give in!! :)
Re: Getting more VIP sales
Good idea! I think I'll use that one tonight at work. Thanks for the heads up!
Re: Getting more VIP sales
I agree with honeysugar... if a guy doesn't know how much things around here cost, I'll tell him $20 if I'm at the club without vip (I'm not underselling!) but phrase it as "$20 minimum, but I promise it'll be worth so much more" or something similar that implies that they're getting a deal @ $20... usually they'll throw in an extra $5-10 as a tip.
Re: Getting more VIP sales
No brainer this one. It's something I have been doing for years esp. in Melbourne (it's why I do so well there).
Unlike most dancers in the club, I do not sell the standard $50 dance (if possible). Of course, I've felt the patron out prior with my "so.. tell me.. have you been to Spearmint Rhino/this club before?". If they say no, then I usually have no problems selling them the $70 dance. The $70 dance is the $50 dance with a $20 tip so that it is the more explicit (as in more open leg, more pussy shots, more up close) than the standard $50 dance. There are moves and things I do in the $70 dance that I will not do in the $50 one.
The "more expensive option" (the $70 dance is the middle option) is only $10 more... so I will get them within the private/lap dance booth/room and say this fact "For $10 more we can go for that little bit longer so you can receive maximum enjoyment out of the whole experience"..
Even if I am feeling lazy and going around selling the $50 option only initially..(or if the patron has been to the club before hence he knows its $50 for a dance).. get them in the room/booth and say "For $20 more you can receive the more intimate and erotic dance... allowing me to enjoy myself just as much you will..." (thus selling a $70 and earning $20 extra for my time instead of the usual $50 option).
It is also the way I endeavour to make a little bit extra in clubs where they take a percentage of every dance... I will just say "For $xx more you will receive the more intimate, erotic dance..." just before we start the dance itself once in the room/booth.
Re: Getting more VIP sales
We have three kinds of deals at our club- singles topless for $30, 4 for 100 nude or half hour rooms for $300. The way I usually go is to ask them if they want to go have some nude fun. If yes, I explain that we have two deals- the mini-suite ($100) or the VIP suite ($300) which is MUCH more private and nobody bothers you, and I'm sure I can think of a couple of things we could do in half an hour. If they're hemming and hawing about paying that kind of money, I tell them that we do have a deal that's still full nude, and so, like GoldCoast said, they usually go for the middle option. I don't always try to sell high...there's just some guys you can't talk into doing more than a couple dances even if you would do more than a dance- it's the unpredictability of our market.

I love that. That sounds great for rather competitive guys who don't want other guys to get one up on them.

Gosh no! We buy our own toys and Im a real clean freak myself! Mine are kept in a bag which is sterilised every shift, my toys are sterlised before every shift, after ever customer and at the end of the shift.
Most of the time I dont even use them (only in the VIP dances) but its club rules that we do "hardcore" shows. Ironically the girls that go flat out for $1 are our lowest earners, and the ones that save them for VIP ALWAYS make more, without getting in trouble from management.
