Re: do you think this is a scam ?
Nigeria is the home of a lot of international scams. Why would the real Pepsi (based in the US) have a Nigerian address as part of their contest? (BTW, you could also check with Pepsi http://www.pepsi.com/home.php)
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
:eye-poppi LOL i had no idea nigeria was the scam s capital  ... but yeah Smoothcat, i thought the same thing why pepsi would hire some nigerian agency to find new faces
and i didnt think of checkin the pepsi website but i did after yr posting and there s nothin about it ... but i was wondering how this scam works... like maybe i get charged a hidden fee for filling the application which i d be forced to pay for , or somethin like that... ?

It's a scam mama!
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
hi CK! u got the same email too?
i wonder who would pick up to the other end of that phone number ;) !
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
Yup, it's a fakey. Mox works for Frito (which is under PepsiCo), and I keep up with everything that goes on with the company (stock purposes and such). Haven't heard a thing about it, so it's gotta be a scam.

NO, I didn't get it, but just seeing Nigeria was enough for me ;)

Re: do you think this is a scam ?
I think its a scam and be very careful out there. I have to agree with everyone else on this one its a FAKE!
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
Still agree...they would make something like this very public if it was a contest type thing.
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
All unsolicited e-mails are some form of scam.
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
i've got quite a few different emails via musecube for various things based in nigeria. not the pepsi one, but similar stuff. it's all a big scam.
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
I got this one last week, it sounds simular. I would never model for Pepsi anyway for ethical reasons so I didn't bother reading past the second line originally. The email adress for this one was at yahoo.co.uk

yeah that s the exact thing i got, Aussie .... they even mispelled that word (protocals) the same way ,,, lmao! and it was a yahoo.com address
it does sound like scam.. what i wonder is what do they get out of it?
i mean no one would send them money or credit card numbers.... what are they trying to do once they would get submissions of those application forms? im curious...
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
They get you to give them money to help them out to submit it and... they keep stringing you along for money. XD People have lost THOUSANDS... HUNDREDS of thousands actually. :D
Re: do you think this is a scam ?
how ,Lilith? they just asked for my delivery address to send me the plane ticket and the 2000 pounds bonus... < hell it sounds just plain wrong >...lol
besides ,the guy s name sending the email is different than the guy signing the form of this world link agency

When you send them your address, they will undoubtedly email you with a request for money. They'll need something to cover some processing cost or bribery or some such swill. Try it - send them a fake address and see if they don't start asking for money...
Or worse yet, maybe they're trying to lure attractive western women into the country for some form of 'white slavery'....

http://www.secretservice.gov/index.shtml
Wow, I feel so special, I get to post the Secret Service website twice in one day! They have a section for $$ fraud and scams, and guess who is their #1 target? NIGERIA! They will tell you over the phone is to erase it asap and not to respond to it in any way. The Secret Service actually won't put in time and $$ to investigate Nigerian email scams anymore, due to the sheer volume of them. The only way you will get active participation is if you were crazy enough to give the Nigerians $$ and need help recovering it. But the nice agent I spoke to on the phone said the emails can be forwarded to them (SS) for record-keeping.
Thanx to my man's obsession with trying to win online "prizes", I've received more of those Nigerian email scam things than I care to admit...
