Re: What is the difference?
Well, I think it would depend on how the club is made. At my club couch dances (no-contact lapdances) are done for $20 and our VIP room is $150/half hour. Now alot of SW posters post that their VIP rooms are like 3 lapdances for $100 or whatever. I really think it depends on the club.
Alot of peopel choose VIP because it's so exclusive. It's private, no bright lights, or heavy music. Just you, spending time with your girl. You should make the customer feel like you're worth every dollar in that VIP room too. "Money well spent" is what I tell em' ;)
Also, are you at a club yet? I cant' really tell you how you shoudl go about handling your money. Alot of clubs run things their own special way! When you start, have the manager sit down and talk things out with you.
Re: What is the difference?
I've been wondering these things, too. Stripclublist.com says the club I think I want to audition at has couch dances - does that mean there's no VIP room?

what is the difference besides a dance out on the floor and one in the vip room. I know they are in different rooms but are you supposed to do something different in vip? I dont do extras so what the heck do i do?
A dance on the floor is less intimate. A lot of guys will also get a couple floor dances with girls to decide if he wants to go spend money on his girl in a private, more intimate setting.

and also when do you collect the money for vip and for dances out on the floor?
Many VIP rooms will have a cover charge. Most clubs will collect the cover from the custy before you enter the room.

Do I get the money before I dance or after?
Knock on wood, I haven't been stiffed yet, so I usually get the money afterwards. But the few times I had a hunch that I might get jipped, so I asked for it upfront. If a guy didn't really have the money to pay or was planning on bailing on you, this usually resolves that worry. I like to give casual reminders every 2 songs as to the total so far. If I sense it will be a long encounter with one custy, I will ask for money every 3 dances. None of them have seemed to have any problems with this so far. Usually when I do floor and VIP dances, I collect in the VIP.

last question...How does the club keep track of your dances to get their cut?
Depends. some clubs don't take a cut from each dance. I know mine doesn't. But the ones that do sometimes have bouncers, etc. keeping count.
