Re: Hellooooo
Canadians are cool, I've met very few I didn't like--good luck with the stripping!
I gave that book to an old girlfriend, she liked it...

Re: Hellooooo
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
It is good reading Blade! Sometimes I think Anne Rice is a better erotica writer rather than standard fantasy/horror...
Good luck in the trip to mtl Cally...I have been practicing with my heels but there is still some wobbly action going on LOL
I'll be sure to post one of those "omg first night!!" posts as well }:D

Re: Hellooooo
She's a pretty good writer. The Vampire Lestat was great, and I liked the one she was embarassed about, Ramesses the Damned. But I'm an Egyptophile, so maybe that biased me.
A little heavy on the homoerotica for me, especially in the Beauty book I gave to that woman, and in the last of her vampire books. The guy finally gets to fuck after 400 years, and he lusts after a guy (for 50 pages, enough is enough, lol) and a dumpy housewife type, lol...
This may also have been one reason I liked Ramesses better than the last two vampire books, or the Beauty one I read.
Have you read any of her series on the witches?

Re: Hellooooo
OK, you've got my seal of approval with an AR reference. Welcome to SW :flower:

Re: Hellooooo
DJoser-I have read the Mayfair Witch books, mostly excerpts from The Witching Hour and Lasher. I prefered Lasher as she explores the character of Mona Mayfair more in that book...who I identify largely with ;)
The Beauty book that is my username and the last in the trilogy has the most homosexual content. The first is largely het, and the second a little less so, so they progress in that way I think. If you're looking for more hetero erotica, definitely check out the first book.
I suppose you could try Exit to Eden, but that is more of a romance I find than erotica, though it is sometimes refered to as such.
Thanks for your seal of approval CorsicaFire! *curtsies*

Re: Hellooooo
Yeah, it was the first book I gave her, and I read it and enjoyed it up until she started with the homoerotic stuff, which as my girlfriend told me increased more the further the book went, too. The truth of the matter is I'm not really into bondage that much, either, but she writes about it so well it works, for the most part.
I'll check out the Mayfair Witch stuff, thanks!
Oh, if you like this sort of writing, get your hands on a copy of The Pearl--it's the book form of a Victorian pornography/erotica periodical. Great stuff! It is written with style and a little humor--nothing at all like the way pornography is written today (boring and ludicrous).
