Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
Has anyone ever danced in a gay/lesbian bar? I got offered a job at one dancing. Its twice a month and they pay me 50 to show up and I keep all my tips and no house fee/tip share. I go up there tonight to meet the owner and see the place. They know I am straight, there's going to be about four of us girls. And i think they want us to do like shows. So any ideas from ya'll would be great. And what kind of outfirts do I wear? Is it all the same or what is different? Thanks!

Whoa, that sounds pretty interesting... and a sweet deal on no house or tipping out... They actually pay YOU! I've never seen a gay/lesbian strip club before... But I would think you'd wear what you'd normally wear to work.
Re: Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
I used to work at a club right next door to a lesbian bar....and generally speaking, lesbians are CHEAP.

<shrug> it's worth a try to at least do it once. If you're doing a show, work it like a feature: do a wading pool/bath scenario, or two girls dancing together. Not really sure, though it sounds interesting. Hopefully in your area you'll make a lot of money doing VIP/lapdances.

Are you going to be on stage doing a show, or go-go dancing on a bar? Lapdances?

I started go go dancing on the bar tops at a gay bar last week. It was great fun. They dont have me do any shows, though... I'm the only female dancer they have. I wear basically what I'd wear at the strip club I work at, 'cept I dont take my top off.
Re: Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
The lesbians I know all say the same thing about getting dances. They are way more likely to tip/buy a dance from a girl who seems "interested" in them. It's just like with a guy. The guy is more likely to spend money on you if you can sell him a fantacy he can believe in. If you think you can have fun with it and be just as flirtatious and etc. I say go for it. If you seem uncomfortable though, I doubt you'll do well in tips. I'm not saying you you have to be gay to dance in a gay bar, you just have to have the right attitude about it. If you do then you'll probably do fine. Like fancygirl said, it can't hurt to try it out. :)

I'm thinking about going back to dancing at a lesbian bar. It seems like fun.

Re: Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
no it was in tampa. it isnt there any longer. most of the girls bars now days get dancers that are club dancers not strippers
Re: Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
The Candy bar in Soho London is lesbian and has strippers on. The girls that work there tell me it's great, the customers like elaborate stage shows and they are treated very well.

Dunno about the other FL ones, mine is in Cocoa Beach.
Re: Dancing in a Gay/Lesbian bar?
Hey i did it last night. It was a little different. The other girls treated it like a normal dancing job. I had a blast. I got off the stage and played with the crowd, and acted like an idiot. So much fun. Not that busy, it will take a few times for people to figure out the show. The owner loved me and my energy so I think I will be able get some humor and crap into the show. Well, i guess make it more into a show and not just girls dancing.
