Re: Kansas City MO?
You said you are 3 hours away - do you live in MO? Or Kansas? I know more about clubs in Wichita KS than KC. If you have the money, I would suggest taking a road trip for one night, like on a Friday, and checking out 2-3 clubs, just go in for a drink and see if you are up to par and how busy it is. If you see something you like, work on night, and hit up the other dancers for info on local clubs. Did you do a search for your state and major cities near-by?

Re: Kansas City MO?
Bazooka's is probably the best as far as customer traffic goes on the MO side. Diamond Joes would probably be second best. Though DJ's looked more like a regular's club, it is convienently located near the riverboat casinos.
However due to the stricter contact rules in MO, a lot of customers tend to go over to Kansas, particularly to the clubs in Lawrence about 35 miles west of KC. You can make money in Lawrence but realize that it is very high contact, and still relatively cheap dances for the mileage you have to give, Also because its a college town, things tend to slow down considerably when school is not in session.
The KC-KS clubs 242 mentioned are actually south of Olathe. They are both run down shacks with cheap medium to high contact dances ($10), although not as bad as Lawrence. They run as "private clubs" where a customer can pay an annual cover charge, and get free admission to the club for a year. The upside of this is that because these places are here they tend to draw the cheaper crowd away from the Bazooka's, which can free that place up for a bigger spending crowd (not bad for a juice bar), although from what I've heard it tends to hit late.
Topeka, about an hour west of KC, used to have good money, but a glut of clubs opening there, and in Lawrence have spread the money too thin. With gas nearing $3/gallon and most people not wanting to take a toll road to get there, that's pretty much a bust too.
I hit the clubs in Wichita frequently and it been really slow too according the gals there. Clubs here have lap dances, but at two of the clubs they are cost prohibitive for most customers, therefore the clubs here are more oriented towards selling "dancer drinks".
There have been a lot of layoffs recently at the aircraft companies which are heart of the economic engine there. In the summertime it just gets worse. I would NOT recommend anyone from the KC area come down here, because you're effectlvely trading bad for worse.

As far as licensing, scheduling, etc. I am out of the loop on those matters, so unless someone here knows better, I'd suggest calling the clubs.
