Nude Modeling Rate Question
I've done a lot of modeling for artists and artistic photographers. Usually they aren't for profit, its only for creativity, so the rates are pretty low. Most artists are fairly poor and can't afford a decent rate.
I was asked by a super talented, professional commercial photographer, who has shot for Time, Life, Newsweek, Target & national advertising campaigns, to do a series of nude images for his stock image collection to use at a later time for commercial clients.
I'm wondering if there are higher rates for commercial models, vs art, glamour and etc...
Anybody know?
I think it would be awesome to model for a well connected photographer. I just want to cover my bases and charge the right amount.
Thanks for your help.
Re: Nude Modeling Rate Question
Browse the forums at modelmayhem.com or onemodelplace.com or the other modeling forums. The definitive answer is, "You can charge what the market will bear," but that doesn't help you much. However, model-specific forums will be of more help.
Re: Nude Modeling Rate Question
You're probably right. I see so many people who model here, that I was hoping that I'd get a fast answer w/o registering for yet another forum.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
