sexy or bad taste?
i looooove eva cassidy's "wade in the water" and i think it would be Hot to dance to. but considering the religious theme, i don't know if it would be in poor taste to dance to this song. it's just so damn sexy though...
also, there's a song by a band called el pus titled "flirtin'" again, a song i'd love to dance to But the chorus is "she don't mean no harm she's just flirtin' with you / don't you go thinking that girl wants to be with you" Not the message i want to send my valued customers (true as it may be ;) )
what do you guys think?

Re: sexy or bad taste?
Depending on the club, and how obvious the lyrics are, most guys could care less about the lyrics...
If they are chanting "Jesus loves you" over and over again, it's probably not appropriate, but if it's somewhat religious, so what--if it's sexy and you are inspired to dance erotically, that's what they're gonna notice...
That's my opinion, and there are clubs where the customers pay more attention to this sort of thing, but from my experience it's generally not a problem.
Hell, I've played "America Number One" by Consolidated numerous times with no problem at all, in spite of the commie lyrics.
And as far as the "Flirtin" song goes, same principle applies--and also you can use it to your advantage by shamelessly lying and telling them that they are special, and you'd love to get with them but you have a policy of not dating customers, whatever.
If you just mesmerized them by a sensuous performance onstage, they'll listen to whatever you say anyway.
