Romantic ideas on little/no money?
Hi everyone, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 6 month anniversary soon and I'm dirt broke. He's very excited about it but I have 40$ in the bank account. :-\ And that's it.
I'm trying to come up with some ideas for things I could make or do for him but I'm having a hard time. I've thought of doing something like wearing sexy lingerie and tying him up (his fantasy) but that's something I would probably do any other day. And cooking isn't really that easy either because he's taking me out of town...
Pleeeease I need help!! Any ideas?
Re: Romantic ideas on little/no money?
If you are going anywhere near a park, or someplace in the country, you can get a bottle of decent but not too expensive wine for 10-15$, some good bread, and really some good cheese for another 5-7$. get a blanket and a basket, and go for a picnic. Try to find somewhere secluded in case things get carried away, lol...
If you have the slightest artistic inclination, you can make him a special card of your own. If he has the slightest appreciation for a truly heartfelt gift, he'll love it. An old girlfriend of mine made me a card that really impressed me, something about "I want to eat you alive" on the front, I forget the punchline on the inside, but it was so sweet of her to do it, it was way, way better than any bought card I have ever gotten...
And it wasn't a slick or fancy card, either--she did just a good enough job that I thought it was a professionally printed card done up to appear as though it was handmade, at first.
Here's a couple of pointers on methods you can use...
Get a piece of clear plastic or glass that won't cut your fingers, and a lamp. Find some lettering styles you like (there's all kinds on the net--google "fonts"), and copy the alphabet at a cheap copy it yourself store on a copying machine that will blow up and reduce the image--they're easy to find if you check around.
Then either get some tracing paper and trace the letters of the words you want to use, in the various sizes you want to use--or take some regualr paper and tape it on top of the copies of the alphabet at the right size, on that clear plastic, with the light propped some way behind it. this will turn almost any kind of paper effectively into tracing paper.
Play around with the words and phrases on scrap paper until you have them the right size and center them roughly.
You can use scissors to cut the phrases you have outlined so that you can center them on top of each other. So if you want to say:
Six months
of pure bliss...
and have it centered, you cut the phrases seperately and tape them down on top of each other, and move them around until it looks right. Use masking tape, this will hold well but enables you to reposition things easily.
Then you are ready to go--get the nice paper for the card and tape it down on top of the phrases on the glass. Make sure everything is taped down well. You might want to outline the letters lightly with pencil first, and then get a nice colored (permanent!) marker or two, and color in the outlines.
Make sure you have a couple of extra pieces of the nice card paper in case you make a mistake--it happens, don't get upset, it's supposed to be fun, not a terrible hard thing that has to be perfect...
If you like this, try it, and it goes well, you can also make 'coupons' for sexual favors, a massage, etc. and decorate them like some of those fancy coupons or certificates, and put them inside the card. You can copy designs and borders from coupons or things you find in magazines or the internet.
Just hope he doesn't demand a massage when you are tired from work or whatever, lol...

On the same note as Djoser... make little coupons that he can redeem... "a free backrub, a night of kisses", etc.... you can get as creative as you want... bake him cookies... or, do what I did once...
Announce an official boyfriend Appreciation day...
Buy a bag of hershey kisses and get a small basket... get a card (or the homemade one), put the coupons in an envelope, and deliver it to him at work, and say, "Happy Boyfriend Appreciation Day"... (and then watch the other guys at his work turn green! LOL)
My husband (who was the boyfriend at the time) LOVED this... you can do it on a day close to your anniversary or choose a different day.
Re: Romantic ideas on little/no money?
Picnics and handmade goodies are always sweet, but if the boy likes it when you put on lingerie and tie him up, then do that! It doesn't matter whether you'd do it any other day. The fact that you're doing it on THIS occasion is going to make it a happy night for him. Just indulge some of his fantasies and maybe do something sexual you won't normally do (I used to give my ex anal only on his birthday, ha). And if there's nothing you won't normally do, then just be your usual Sex Goddess self and let him thank his lucky stars he found a sexy freak like you! ;)

The woman has a point...
Of course you could wear lingerie under a light coat to the picnic, and put some rope in the basket, lol.
Just make damned sure it's not someplace where you can get arrested for what follows...
PS--if you do opt for the kinky picnic, keep it simple. The wine, bread, and cheese will beat out carefully wrapped sandwichs and cookies any day. Just bring a knife and some napkins or paper towels.
Re: Romantic ideas on little/no money?
So many good ideas here! :D Thanks guys! I'll try to incorporate them all.

I love this!
Thanks for the ideas Djoser! I'll have to dig out my creative side. I wonder how he would react if I wore lingerie under a trenchcoat to the park... ;) VERY happily I'm sure.

Good ideas. But skip the recording equipment. It's a sad truth that people break up--
even people who enjoyed each tied up--and therefore best to keep your memories as memories.
