Songs you always bank on
Everyone has their songs that they just FEEL and always make money when they dance to them.
One song that works for one girl may not work for another however....but it's fun to see see a friend or new girl try one of "my songs" sometimes. It usually doesn't work the same and vice versa!
Mine are:
Nine Inch Nails - "Into the Void"
Lil' Kim - "Durty"
Dead Can Dance - "The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove"
Marilyn Manson - "Golden Years" or "The Love Song"
The Beatles - "Helter Skelter"
My Ruin - "Blasphemous Girl"
T-Rex - "Cosmic Dancer"
and oddly enough because most people don't know what it is:
Ritalin - "KY Re:Amin"
What are your "bank songs"?
-
Re: Songs you always bank on
Science = Masquerade
Delirieum = Silence
kevin Lyttle = Turn Me On
Avenged Sevenfold = Bat Country
Just to name a few. I have so many i like....!!!!

Re: Songs you always bank on
Great topic for a thread, and I like the fact you picked "Into the Void', one of the best, yet least played NIN songs, as well as "Mr. Lovegroove'
Sexjaz, which version of "Silence", I am curious--I like both remixes, even if they are very different.
There are a couple here I don't think I have, so it's off to Limewire/Soulseek for me, lol...

Re: Songs you always bank on
Dead Can Dance - "The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove" <<gauranteed someone notices me with that song
Lenny Kravitz - "If you cant say no"
Hooverphonic - "2wicky"

Re: Songs you always bank on
I like the original version and the mixed version, not exactly sure the name of the mixed one by which Dj.
-
Re: Songs you always bank on
There's a fast remix by Tiesto, I believe (which is very good even if most of his stuff leaves me cold), and there is a slower, sensuous mix by Delerium (Sanctuary mix, I think). Supposedly there is a third mix by Airscape, and I'm not sure if I've heard it yet. I'm sure Isolabella will know, lol...
Oh, and "Helter Skelter" is a great song, in spite of the bad press it got thanks to Manson--that's an excellent choice, Alexxa.

Re: Songs you always bank on
Have you ever tried the Siouxsie version of Helter Skelter, Alexxa (or Djoser)? I lerve it to death. In fact, it was the first version I ever heard of that song. When I eventually heard the original, I thought it sounded . . . kind of quaint (and I do love the Beatles). The same thing happened to me with the Bauhaus version of Ziggy Stardust - heard and loved it before I ever encountered the original and was a tiny bit disappointed by Bowie's (no disrespect to him either - one of my all-time faves). Anyhow, if I'm reading your personality correctly, Alexxa, I bet the Siouxsie version would be fun for you on stage!
As for me, so far, I don't know why the crowd seems to go wild for me-plus-Guns N' Roses. It's never been my favorite genre, but in the strip club world I seem destined to be a heavy metal bimbo. *shrug*

I dance to it BECAUSE of Charlie. LOL
I'm gonna do a Limewire search for the Souxie version. Thanks RoseWhite!
I like Marilyn Manson's version of "Golden Years" a little better than Bowie's. Maybe he just makes "coverable" songs?

Re: Songs you always bank on
Aww, "Bizarre Love Triangle"! *Nostalgic sniff.*
Alexxa, in case it helps your search, it's on Siouxsie & the Banshees' first album, The Scream (ancient!). I will tell you right now that if you have any trouble finding it, PM me and I will happily burn you a copy and snail mail a CD to you. Be warned that her "Helter Skelter" starts slow, but stick with it - it picks up in a big way!
Back on topic: Also, almost all Rob Zombie banks for me. Tried his cover of Brick House last week and adored it!

Re: Songs you always bank on
Most Rob Zombie songs and anything by Celldweller...

Re: Songs you always bank on
LOL, Helter Skelter... I stripper-named myself "Sadie" after one of the Manson girls after reading that book. It was a hateful period in my life, what can I say? Of course, the official version of why I picked it is the Beatles song "Sexy Sadie." That aside, I can't really dance to the Beatles onstage. My eternal playlist always includes:
Edwyn Collins--Girl Like You
Cracker--Low
Black Crowes--Remedy
Jonny Lang--Lie to Me
Billy Idol--Rebel Yell
Bush--Everything Zen
When I worked in the South, I danced to "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles every night... just cause I was so obviously a Yank and had no right whatsoever. :P

Re: Songs you always bank on
An oldie but a goodie - pour some sugar on me. ALWAYS bank with that one.

OMG...I know of another girl who did this. Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago. :-\

Re: Songs you always bank on
I love Siouxsie.. their Helter Skelter is a good song, but the live version of it kicks even more ass. :O

Re: Songs you always bank on
Since it came out, Crazy Bitch. My club will only play it for me (I wonder if they're trying to hint something). Last time they played that for me, the club was dead-ish. A minute into the song, the stage was lined with almost all the guys in the club, waving cash and asking me for a dance as soon as I got offstage. The guys in the back of the club who were getting dances were even watching me. That's when you know you've done well.

Re: Songs you always bank on
"Welcome to the Jungle"-GNR
"Only" NIN
-
Re: Songs you always bank on
Voodoo (Godsmack)
#1 Crush (Garbage)
Edge of 17 (Jonas)
Sad But True (Metallica)
Those are the 4 songs I bank on the most. After I do a set (usually Voodoo & #1 Crush) I get a bunch of guys waiting for me to dance for them... I do really well with that set. The DJ won't play those 2 songs for any of the other girls, he calls them my trademark tunes lol
-
Re: Songs you always bank on
rage against the machine- killing in the name of
NERD-lapdance
